Welcome back Parents to APW Varsity Outdoor Boys and Girls Track & Field. On Wednesday the Varsity Boys and Girls Track Teams traveled to Weedsport for a double dual vs. Weedsport and OnTech. The boys lost both team wise and the girls beat Weedsport 70-52 and OnTech 80-23. Winning overall events were the 🔸4x100 relay team of Lily Higgins, Lauren Parker, Jacelyn Trumble and Isabella Scott, 🔹The 4x400 Relay team of Jacelyn Trumble, Lauren Parker, Emma Millerschin and Jane VanVranken. 🔸Jane VanVranken won the Long Jump, 🔹Jacelyn Trumble won the 200, 🔸Josie Forkhamer won the 100 hurdles and the Shot Put, 🔹Kandace Tanner won the 1500 and 3000 and 🔸Isabella Scott won the 100, High Jump and the Triple Jump. 🔵Earning Personal Bests for the boys were Aran Masllorens Rodriguez in the 100, Braeden Wheeler in the 100, Discus and Shot Put, Konnor Burke in the 100, 200 and Long Jump, Antwan Alba in the 100, High Jump and Shot Put, Chance Eager in the 100, Discus and Shot Put, Sawyer Oakes in the 1600 and 800, Ben VanVranken in the High Jump and Bruce Flanagan in the Shot Put.
🟡Finally earning Personal Bests for the girls were Lauren Parker in the 400, Josie Forkhamer in the Shot Put, Jacelyn Trumble in the 200 and Kandace Tanner in the 1500 and 3000.
✨Tonight the teams travel to Tully for our first Friday night invitational! Great Job and Good Luck!

Coach Bryant Update:

Over the weekend Isabella Scott traveled to Staten Island and the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex to represent APW at the NYS Indoor Track and Field Championships! She was honored as the Section 3 Female Sportsmanship Award Recipient before the meet which is an incredible honor! Then she ran the 55m Dash in a school record 7.28 to earn 11th overall in the Federation Division and 7th in the Public School Division!
Isabella and Benjamin VanVranken will finish their indoor seasons this coming weekend in NYC at the Armory by competing in the Nike Indoor National Championship Track Meet. Benjamin will be Pole Vaulting on Friday evening and Isabella will run in the 60m Prelims on Saturday morning! Great Job Bella and Good Luck Bella and Ben!

📢Coach Bryant Update📢

On Wednesday evening the indoor track team was at it again, competing in the OHSL 2 Championships. 🟨The Girls finished 9th out of 13 teams and the Boys finished 8th out of 13 teams.
🔷Earning Personal Bests were Kandace Tanner in the 1000, Sawyer Oakes in the 1000, Lauren Parker in the 55, Glen Anthony Morse in the 300, Bruce Flanagan in the Weight Throw and Shot Put, Braeden Wheeler in the Shot Put, Evangelynn Britton in the Weight Throw and Breanna Wheeler in the Weight Throw.
🔶The following athletes finished in the top 6. Evangelynn Britton was 5th in the Weight Throw, the 4x800 Relay team was 5th, Bruce Flanagan was 4th in the Shot Put and Weight Throw, Leah Tanner was 4th in the 1000, Benjamin VanVranken was 3rd in the Long Jump!
🔷Isabella Scott was 2nd Team All-League in the Long Jump! Isabella Scott was also 1st Team All-League in the 55!
🔶Ben VanVranken was 1st Team All-League in the Pole Vault!
✨Finally, the 4x800 team of Jane VanVranken, Kandace Tanner, Emma MIllerschin and Leah Tanner set a new School Record with a time of 11:59.44!

📌Next Thursday February 8th the team will compete in the Class C sectional championships starting at 4:30! Good Luck!

On Friday night the Indoor Track Team was back at it and again had a lot of great performances!
🔷Personal Bests were had by Kandace Tanner in the 1000, Sawyer Oakes in the 1000 and 1600, Lauren Parker in the 55, Bruce Flanagan in the 55, Weight Throw and Shot Put, Jane VanVranken in the 600, Braeden Wheeler in the Shot Put, Breanna Wheeler in the Shot Put, Glen Anthony Morse in the Long Jump and the 4x200 Relay team of Jane VanVranken, Lauren Parker, Leah Tanner and Isabella Scott! Benjamin VanVranken also had a personal best in the Pole Vault that set a new School Record and qualified him for the Nike Indoor National Meet!!!

💙💛APW Rebels now has two Athletes qualified for the Nike Indoor National Meet! Bella Scott in the 60m and Ben VanVranken in the Pole Vault. Please keep an eye out for fundraising efforts that will be taking place. These two athletes appreciate ALL the support 💙💛

What a night for the Indoor Track team!!! Personal bests were had by
🔹Kandace Tanner in the 1500, 🔸Emma Millerschin in the 1000, 🔹Leah Tanner in the 1000, 🔸Jane VanVranken in the 600, 🔹Lauren Parker in the 300 and 55, 🔸Isabella Scott in the 55 and Triple Jump, 🔹Evangelynn Britton in the Weight Throw, 🔸Ben VanVranken in the Pole Vault and the 🔹4x400 relay team of Leah Tanner, Lauren Parker, Emma Millerschin and Jane VanVranken!
🌟Leah Tanners 1000 was a Sectional qualifying time!
💥The 4x400 team ran a 4:37.13 which is a new School Record!
💥🥇Ben VanVranken's height of 13'3" in the pole vault took 1st place and is a NEW School Record!
💥Isabella Scott's distance of 34'9.5" in the Triple Jump is a new School Record and State Qualifying leap.
💥🥇Isabella Scott’s time of 7.29 seconds in the 55 took 1st place and is a NEW School Record!
🔷🔶That is on the short list of one of the best nights on record for a team of mine! Super proud Coach! Congrats! 🔶🔷
