Over the last 5 years NL sports medicine and Quality Care ER introduced the Sideline ER tent as the first in lamar county and surrounding counties. With their continued partnership we continue to improve the quality of care our Panthers receive and offer the best care possible to our injured panthers. Thank you for continuing to support us and serve our community with loving hearts 💙💛💙💛

Reminder that free physicals is this week. Saturday at Paris High school A gym
Boys 8am
Girls 9am
NL kids must have the yellow physical that we passed out today. The front side, the medical history, must be filled out and signed by parent and student before arriving on Saturday.

Athletic Trainers are here to help with many aspects of athletic injuries including injury prevention. One example of our injury prevention is hosting a free physicals event with local physicians, nurses, PTs, and fellow athletic trainers. This event is designed to be convenient, FREE, and help catch many issues that could be dangerous to athletes.
This year we will host it at:

Paris High School A gym
Saturday May 11th
Boys 7:50am
Girls 8:50am

More info will be sent home to current athletes parents of NL.

Just a few upper classes teaching Stone 6th graders about basic first aide and how to use some simple skills to help save lives.
Thank you Wyatt Brady, Mckenzie Hively, Irfan Alam, and Kaeley Chivers for taking time out of your day to teach these bright excited minds. The 6th graders loved the class and gave many compliments to the high schoolers. Thank you coach stout for making this happen.

The week before Thanksgiving we had a VERY generous donation of braces, ice packs, and even a portable stim unit. This gift is something that NL athletes and coaches will be blessed by and can use for YEARS to come.
Schools rely on their communities support to be the best version they can be. Having a generous and supportive, involved community allows us to help our students and athletes the most.
NL has a great connection to its community and that's why things like this happen.
In this season of giving, if you can bless a teacher, student, coach, admin, or anyone directly involved in the school system please do so.

In sports med we are always accepting medical supplies, snacks, drinks for athletes, voulnteering/education from local health professionals, and any other support your willing to give. I hope yall have a blessed holiday and looking forward to what 2024 has to offer.

I know this is a solid month over due bit our last Sports med of the week for the football season was Kaeley Chivers. There's something special about this girl. I know she's gonna do some big things in her life. She is always smiling, upbeat, has great energy, and truly cares for her fellow classmates. She's a joy to be around and we are very thankful for her hard work and dedication to sports med. Congrats!

Drum roll please!!!
This week's sports med student of the week goes to Irfan Alam. This senior choose to do sports med and serve his fellow athletes in a different way this year and we couldn't be more thrilled. There are few people out there who truly love serving and never have a bad attitude or negative vibe. Irfan always has a smile, never tells you no, and loves being around his friends classmates and coaches. I wish we would have had him for even more of his High school years but at least we were blessed with this year.

This is a popular one. Just a little playdouh time. I think most of the kids like this hands on more than the fancy anatomy table.
Does anyone else know their knee anatomy this well?

Here I go again being behind. I honestly waited a bit on this one cause I just knew this week's sports med of the week would also be the home comming King! If you don't know him yet you need to meet Wyatt Brady.
He's a senior this year and one of my few students who has done sports med all 4 years of high school. There truly is something different about this kid that gets you pumped up. His desire to serve and do his best at everything he does. From folding laundry to taping ankles or from putting a smile on people's face during treatment or praying for our athletes when they are down and out due to an injury. He is a great example of what we all should strive to achieve. Wyatt Brady is sports med of the week because he teaches and reminds me to be a better version of myself on a daily basis. He doesn't do sports med because of a possible future health care career. He does it because he loves to serve his classmates, his athletes, his school and his community. Congratulations Wyatt a true servants heart 💙 💛💙💛
