Something to Aim at.:
As bow hunters we always have are sights on something, whether its a target in the back yard or a target at BaseBow or a turkey this Wednesday 'that's my plan anyway'. But as Christians let me give you something else to aim at.
In Colossians 3:23~24 it says -Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance.
It is the Lord Christ whom you serve. So the thing to aim at is to do a good job in your work, in your marriage, raising your kids. Whatever you do, do it heartily. Aim for the bulls eye. One day we'll hear some great words -Well done good and faithful servant. Now that's something to aim at.

Something to Aim At-
As bow hunters and shooters we strive to make our aim truer and truer. We use better sites and gadgets, such as range finders, faster bows and the latest equipment all the time. All of this is an attempt to make us sharper for the hunt or the Archery competition. The same could be said as we walk with the Lord.
Scripture says in Hebrews 4:12- For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two edged sword......
It seems to me that Christians become dull because of their lack of knowledge of the word of God. They become more like the world, not knowing right from wrong. I think the bulls eye for us to aim at is to keep God's word in our lives daily so that we can hit the mark that God has for the Christian life. Just as you want to become sharper in your archery skills become sharper in your walk with the Lord by reading his word and obeying it.
