My golf addiction, subsided with indoor golf

5 hour rounds at Talking Stick ❌

Indoor golf will never fully replace outdoor golf and I will pick outdoor golf every time. But when there is a budget on time or on expenses the smarter choice is indoor golf!

What’s the best way to use simulator golf, in my opinion?

Use it to learn real shots.

Pick a par 3. Drop the ball at a number you want to own. Then start testing:
elevation
wind
trajectory
distance control

What does your 150-yard club do from an elevated tee?
What happens with 30 mph in your face?
How much can you save by flighting it lower?

That’s the stuff that actually transfers to the course.

Simulator golf is great for fun, but it’s even better when you use it to understand your game on a deeper level.

That’s where confidence comes from.

I used to carry an 8i 150-155 yards

Now it goes 170-175 yards

What changed?

Compression has been one of my favorite data points

Hitting down on the ball, compressing best I can and swinging with better tempo. Aggressive weight to the target.

Big shout out to and the coach that stays late night with me at Swing Shift. and my coach for the help on understanding what a swing is.
