🚲 THANK YOU, COACH JENNI & COACH JOE! 🚲

A HUGE thank you to Coach Jenni and Coach Joe for bringing their NICA teams to our shop for a pop-up bike maintenance clinic last night!!!

With the heat still hanging around, the teams decided to bring the first hour of their practice indoors, and it was my pleasure to spend that time helping the student-athletes learn more about taking care of their bikes.

We covered a little bit of everything—from basic bike cleaning and maintenance to suspension service and everything in between. There were some great questions and some great conversations!

When it comes to cycling, teaching and coaching is one of my absolute favorite things to do. I love being able to share the knowledge I've gained over the years and help riders become more confident and self-sufficient with their bikes.

As we slowly transition into cooler weather, we'll be scheduling our ABC's of Bike Maintenance classes. Last night's pop-up clinic was a great test run and gave us a chance to work through the space and format for these upcoming classes.

Keep an eye out for the events we'll be posting this fall and winter. We'd love to see you in one of our classes! 🔧🚲

🏁🚲 CONGRATULATIONS, BRAYDEN, ON YOUR NEW RACE BUILD!!!

Brayden's race bike was already an impressive custom build featuring an aluminum frame, but he recently decided to take things to the next level with an upgrade to a Chase 1.2 carbon frame along with a new matching fork!

The build is still a work in progress, as he'll soon be adding a new wheelset to complete the overall colorway. In the meantime, the wheels from his previous build are performing just fine and keeping him out on the track and racing!

We can already see how much you're enjoying the performance and feel of that carbon frame! We can't wait to see the finished build once everything comes together.

🚵 A HUGE THANK YOU to our three amazing students, Alexis, Jason, and Chris!

Thank you all so much for joining us for our Mountain Bike Fundamental Skills Course! We had an incredible time working with you and hope you had just as much fun learning and practicing your new skills.

We host our Fundamental Mountain Bike 101 Skills Course once each month, and we're currently putting together our schedule of events for September—so keep an eye out for those announcements!

We're also excited to share that we're in the early planning stages of an Intermediate Mountain Bike 201 Skills Course! This class will be a natural progression from our beginner course, allowing riders to continue building on the skills and confidence they've already developed.

To participate in the intermediate-level course, riders will first need to complete our Fundamental Skills Course.

More details will be coming soon once we're ready to launch the new class!

🚴WE HAD TO POSTPONE THIS RIDE DUE TO THE HEAT... SO LET'S TRY IT AGAIN!

We're excited to give The Combo another shot on Sunday, September 6th!

📍 Meet: Sarpy County Bicycles
🕔 Roll Out: Between 5:15–5:30 PM
📏 Distance: Approximately 10 miles
🚲 Pace: Beginner-friendly

We'll start with one lap around the paved trail at Walnut Creek, then head south to ride the route we use for our Intro to Gravel Ride before making our way back to the shop.

All types of bikes and riders are welcome! However, if your bike has tires with a smooth tread, they may not be as efficient or comfortable on the gravel roads.

As with all of our group rides, helmets are required. Please remember to bring plenty of hydration for the ride. We also have complimentary bottles of water available at the shop, along with drink additives from LMNT and Skratch available for purchase.

Since we'll be riding on some gravel roads, a rear taillight is also recommended.

We'll finish the ride back at the shop, and we'll be happy to hang out for a little while afterward if anyone needs anything or just wants to talk bikes!

🚵 Are You Ready to Build Your Mountain Bike Skills?

Are you new to mountain biking and curious about learning the basic skills? Or have you been riding for a while and feel like you may have picked up a few “bad habits” along the way?

We still have a few spots available in our Mountain Bike Fundamentals Skills Class this Sunday, August 30th at 8:00 AM at Walnut Creek!

We strongly believe that every rider—whether you're brand new to the sport or have years of experience—can benefit from having a solid foundation of core skills. With consistent practice, these skills can help make your riding safer, more confident, and ultimately more fun!

Our course runs approximately three hours. During the first half, we'll focus on learning and practicing fundamental skills through instruction and drills. After a short break, we'll head out onto the trail to apply those newly learned skills in real-world riding situations.

The cost of the course is $150. If you're interested in joining us, please stop by the shop to prepay and secure your spot. This is also a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the class.

We'd love to help you build confidence, improve your skills, and have even more fun on the trails! 🚲

We just received our first shipment of some amazing flavors from !

Not only is their jerky packed with protein, low in calories, and gluten-free (with the exception of the Teriyaki flavor), but every flavor we've tried has been absolutely delicious!

Whether you're looking for a quick snack before a ride, something to help refuel afterward, or just a tasty high-protein snack, stop by the shop and give it a try!

🎉🚲 A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to our apprentices, Jackson and Hailey!!! 🚲🎉

We couldn’t be more proud of these two!

Jackson earned the Nebraska State Championship title in the 15 Intermediate class yesterday at the state finals at ! 🏆

This wasn’t a title earned in just one race. Jackson had to compete and perform well in at least two qualifying races earlier in the season, then bring it again at the state finals. His hard work and dedication throughout the year paid off, and this championship is very well deserved!

And we’re equally proud of our other young apprentice, Hailey, who took on her first-ever Gravel Worlds event! 🚴‍♀️

Not only was this her first Gravel Worlds experience, but it was also her first time riding on gravel… and she absolutely crushed it! Most importantly, though, she had a ton of fun doing it!

We’re incredibly proud of both Jackson and Hailey. They’ve learned so much during their time at the shop, and we’ve been amazed by how quickly they’ve grown and how well they’ve done.

As they head back for another school year, we want to wish them both the very best of luck!

Keep chasing those goals, having fun, and doing awesome things. We’re proud to have you both as part of the Sarpy County Bicycles family! ❤️👏

Just a friendly reminder that the bike shop will be closed tomorrow, Saturday, August 22nd, as we’ll be participating in Gravel Worlds in Lincoln!
