The Snowsports School is saddened by the passing of long-time instructor and snowboarding supervisor Gary W. (Mondo) Werenskjold Jr. on June 16th.

Mondo was a unique and distinctive character at Paoli Peaks, and introduced the sport of Snowboarding to countless people throughout his years at Paoli Peaks.

Please keep our friends at Boyne Highlands in your thoughts. The main lodge experienced a very serious fire last night. There are current reports of 12 people injured. The resort is closed for the time being. Very sad news!

There is a growing group of our instructors going to Perfect North tomorrow. If anyone is interested in joining us, look for the blue coats in the East Lodge between 9:30 - 10:00 or on the hill. Hope to see you there!

Hi All, Today is the restart for snowmaking at Paoli Peaks. They were able to turn the guns on again at about 6:00 am. We made enough snow to start the base in certain areas and will continue tonight and for the next 2 days hopefully continuously. The forecast calls for a little rain Sunday thru Tuesday and then the temps are to drop away again. More snowmaking in our near future. Great news.... We are scheduled to open on Saturday Dec 17th and maybe get lucky and open early on the 16th... Check the web site for accurate info. We will post an aerial view a local guy took today which shows some snowmaking. He was flying around in the area. Keep your fingers crossed and keep doing the snow dance for us. Hello All,
Sending a note out to everyone and hope you can share it with your networks. The JOB FAIR. Is coming up this week so that we can interview and hire many employees for the upcoming 2016-2017 snow season. The first date for job fair is Saturday, Nov. 12th from 9:00 am to 1:00pm. The second one is Tuesday, Nov 15th from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm. All Departments will be looking for new hires and returning employees also. The various departments include:
Rental, Office, Group Office, Cashier, Food Service, Terrain Park, Lift Operator, Tube Park, Snowmaker, Housekeeping, Mountain Hosts, and Ski/Snowboard Instructor. I would love a chance to tell you more during these advertised times. We are looking for Full-time and Part-time Instructors for the year. We hire skiers, snowboarders and children' instructors that want to share with others, have a love of the sport, may or may not be high ability levels ( but at least willing to learn).
