It’s tournament week! Get your teams together and get ready to fish. There has never been a marlin hung at Lighthouse Marina so tell everyone in the community and come support. Be there to watch history be made this Saturday. Scales open at 5:00pm.

The 2nd annual Grand Lagoon Billfish Classic, presented by the Gulf Coast Sportfishing Club, is returning to Panama City Beach from Wednesday to Sunday.

🚨 TOURNAMENT START UPDATE 🚨

More fishing time for the fleet!

The Grand Lagoon Billfish Classic start time has been moved from 12:00 PM to 10:00 AM CT on Thursday, August 6, giving every team two additional hours on the water.

There will be no shotgun start. Updated departure procedures are as follows:

✅ Departing through St. Andrew Pass at 10:00 AM CT: Check in with the tournament boat stationed in the pass on VHF channel 68.

✅ Departing from any other inlet: Record a continuous video of your departure that clearly shows the date and time and confirms you departed no earlier than 10:00 AM CT.

✅ Departing through St. Andrew Pass after 10:00 AM CT: Record a continuous video of your departure that clearly shows the date and time.

Boats may depart from any inlet between Apalachicola and Fort Walton Beach.

Fish hard, fish safe, and make the most of the extra two hours!

The Gulf Coast Sportfishing Club is kicking off our biggest tournament of the year, running July 1 – December 31, 2026!

🏆 Largest fish wins each species category
💰 $100 entry per species
👥 Club membership required to participate ($50 annual membership)
⚓ Weigh-ins at Sun Harbor Marina during normal business hours.

Eligible Species:
🎣 Red Snapper (32")
🎣 Gag Grouper (32")
🎣 Amberjack (40")
🎣 Mangrove Snapper (24")
🎣 Other Grouper (32")
🎣 King Mackerel (36")
🎣 Wahoo (40")
🎣 Mahi (30")
🎣 Blackfin Tuna (26")
🎣 Yellowfin Tuna (40")

📏 All fish must meet the minimum length requirements before weigh-in. In the event of a tie, the fish weighed first will be declared the winner.

🎣 **Gulf Coast Sports Fishing Club Season-Long Tournament** 🎣

The season is in full swing, and there's still plenty of time to get in on the action! Our Season-Long Tournament runs through December 31st, giving anglers the opportunity to compete all season long while targeting the species they love to fish.

💵 Entry Fee:$100 per species

🐟 Fish What You Love: Choose the eligible species you want to enter. Whether you decide to compete in one category or several, every trip offshore is another chance to improve your standing.

⚓ Official Weigh-In:
All tournament fish must be weighed in at Sun Harbor Marina during normal business hours to qualify.
