It helps me not think about all the problems I normally think about during the day. Even though I get sweaty and exhausted, it’s all worth it. I learn how to work on my cars and plan of taking mechanics in High School next year. I started rac

ing late 2013 indoors at the Ohio State Fairgrounds, then moving to London Ohio 2014 outdoors COQMRA track and travel to Vegas and Florida speedways. My goal is to stick with it and need to look for sponsorship to pay for me to continue to race. I eventually I want to find a company or companies to stand beside me. Dad teaches me how to work on my car and I must keep it clean. Sheldon is probably one of the most straightforward down to earth people you’ll ever want to meet…
It all started when he enjoyed watching Quarter Midgets at Columbus Motor Speedway with his father and then started practicing at Central Ohio Quarter Midgets Sheldon showed interest in quarter midgets early 2012 and his father was able to get him a car and he strapped in for the first time October 2012 for practice and has been enjoying it ever since….

He started out in Senior Novice working his way up to Senior Honda, Light 160, Light World Formula, then Heavy 120, Heavy 160 and World Formula with trial and error becoming an elite driver…

Early in his career set the track ablaze by Winning a feature in his first race in Senior Novice at the Buckeye Quarter Midgets indoors Winternationals in December 2012…

Sheldon won most improved in 2015 later won a number of other podium wins at other important races including 1st place Light World Formula Champion in 2016 and 3rd place Champion in Senior Honda and 3rd place Champion in light 160…
Winning Friday Night Series in 2017 all three classes (Heavy Honda, Heavy 160, Light World Formula) and most recently finishing 2nd in Heavy 160 Championship and 3rd in Heavy Honda Championship in 2018.
Sheldon has had other accomplishments including other podium wins at BMI indoors and New Smyrna Quarter Midgets and as far away as Las Vegas..

Since he is retiring Quarter Midgets he has shown interest for gearing up for the start of next race season in INEX Ledgens...

Sheldon Avery Minnear took 1st place with some tuff competition in Light World Formula, Heavy 160 and Heavy Honda ..kicking myself for not getting it on video.. some of his best racing... sure sign of some great things to come this brand new racing season!
