To begin our 2026 season, Stanford men’s lacrosse would like to welcome new head coach Per Olters:

Coach Olters grew up playing lacrosse for Marburg Saints and SC Frankfurt 1880. He played on the German U19 national team in 2016 and on the Sr National team from 2017 onwards. He won a Silver medal in the 2022 box European championships and tied for 2nd top goal scorer in the 2023 world championships.

Coach Olters became the first German player to play D1 lacrosse, starting his college career at UVM. After graduating, he transferred to Dominican University for their first year back in D2, becoming their captain.

After his college career, coach Olters went on to coach the German national team in the 2025 European field championships. Olters been coaching in the bay for around 2 years now,, ranging from kindercrosse to college lacrosse.

In his free time, coach loves playing Disc golf, competing in local disc golf tournaments when healthy. He also loves playing League of Legends, hitting platinum rank this year after being stuck in gold since 2014!
