Varsity Softball falls to MacDonald 5 - 4

Palo Alto Varsity Vikings fell to MacDonald Varsity Condors 5-4 on Friday in the final inning. The game was tied at four in the bottom of the seventh when an MacDonald scored one run.

Varsity Softball fall to Cupertino 6 - 5

Palo Alto Varsity Vikings's effort to come back from down four runs in the seventh inning came up just short, as they fell 6-5 to Cupertino on Wednesday.

Varsity Softball falls to Gunn 8 - 6

Palo Alto Varsity Vikings started off strong by scoring the first 2 runs of the game in the first inning. They fell behind by five runs in the seventh inning but then almost closed the gap by scoring on a double, a double, and a single, bringing the final score to 8-6 Gunn.

Varsity Softball beats M***a Vista (Cupertino) 26 - 3

  On Friday, the Vikings played M***a Vista. The final score was 26-3, giving the Palo Alto Viking Varsity team a season record of 5-2 (3-0 in the league).

Varsity Softball beats Fremont 12 - 3

  We really had our bats flying in the first inning against Fremont, scoring 8 runs.  Both Riannah (Sr.) and Kendall (So.) got doubles in that first inning, and the team piled up 14 stolen bases throughout the game, resulting in a 12 - 3 win.

Palo Alto Varsity Vikings had trouble keeping up with Mercy Varsity Bears in a 13-1 loss on Monday.

Varsity Softball beats Santa Clara 8 - 7 in 8th Inning Overtime

After a tough first four innings, with a few mistakes by the Vikings, the Santa Clara Bruins had the lead at the end of the 4th inning, 0-3.  But in the 5th inning, things turned around for the Vikings.  Tzeng (So.) hits a line drive, advancing to 1st, then to 2nd and 3rd on errors.  Butler (So.)...

Varsity Softball beats Menlo-Atherton 5 - 3

  Paly Varsity had one (non-league) game on Wednesday, taking home their second win! Paly started strong with 4 runs in the first 3 innings, and with some amazing catches on defense, beat the Menlo-Atherton Bears (5-3).
