We know that on life things are only for a season. I wasn’t going to post anything, but I figured I would inform as many as possible. This past week I resigned from softball as the head coach. It has been a long road and I would 1st like to thank God for giving me the ability to coach. Next, my wife for the many sacrifices of the long hours I had to spend away and working while home. My 2 boys Tre’ and Jaidon for the sacrifice of not having me around sometimes. To all of my assistants who’ve worked with me, it was a special journey, especially when you coach someone and then they come back to coach with you. Tells me I’m old, but also they liked me a little bit lol. To the parents for your patience, understanding and support. Your daughters are lucky to have you in their corner. Thanks to Scott Morris who gave me my 1st softball coaching opportunity. Thanks to all the fans that came to support the program. It wasn’t an easy decision, but sometimes you have to listen. It has been weighing on me and over the last year it just seemed like time is going super fast while watching my boys grow up and time isn’t fair. So I will take advantage of these next few years and enjoy them, especially my youngest’s last 2 years in HS. I will miss soooo many people and aspects of the game. I’m at peace with the decision so I know I made the correct decision. Last but of course not least, thank you to each young lady that I’ve coached and young man in other sports. I’ve learned so many things from you all. Coaching isn’t easy, sometimes it’s like the game, unfair, but you learn early to take notes and move forward. I tried to not only coach but teach, along with teaching my athletes how to be a better player, student, person and teammate overall. Hoping to help them develop skills that they could use as they move on. If I’ve forgotten anyone I apologize, but I still thank you. I’m sure it’s something that I’m forgetting. To the many years, athletes and people, I’m blessed. Along with all the practices and games of some sort for about 20 years. I am old lol. I’m thankful and blessed. Thank you thank you thank you.
