Good news, Palmetto! A new Monthly Curbside Bulk Collection Program is coming on June 1, 2026! Starting June 1, bulk pickup comes right to your curb to collect up to 4 large items a month.

📍🟡 Zone 2 (North Side) → 1st Friday of each month
📍🟢 Zone 1 (South Side) → 1st Thursday of each month

UPDATE (5/13): The Gold Star Club of Manatee County is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of those responsible (in additional to the potential reward of up to $3,000 from CrimeStoppers of Manatee County, Inc.)

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating vandalism that occurred at the Old Memphis Cemetery (202 25th St. W., Palmetto).

Deputies located 17 gravesites with damages ranging from broken and knocked down headstones, spray painted gravesites, and damaged concrete on graves. At this time there is no indication that any remains were removed from the gravesites.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office at (941) 747-3011. To remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward of $3,000, contact CrimeStoppers of Manatee County, Inc. at (866) 634-TIPS or visit ManateeCrimeStoppers.com by June 1, 2026.
