SprocKidz SprocKidz teaches mountain biking to kids and young adults ages 8-18. Our goal is More Kidz On More Bikes More Often

The emphasis is on fun, fitness, and learning proper technique. SprocKids receive instruction in mountain biking from enthusiastic, dedicated, all-volunteer coaches. Kids will also learn proper care and handling of equipment, trail etiquette, good sportsmanship and how to act responsibly in the outdoors. This program is family-oriented; parents are welcome to participate in all the activities.

Come lend a hand at our upcoming Trail Work Day on Saturday, June 20th, from 9:00 AM until around noon!

We’ll be improving the trails and, if there’s interest, heading out for a group ride afterward.

No trail work experience is needed volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome. Our focus for the day will be smoothing out rough trail sections and clearing up drainage issues to keep the trails riding well all season long.

We’ll have tools available, but if you own a shovel or garden rake, bringing it along is always appreciated.

Once the work is wrapped up, stick around for food and refreshments pizza is likely making another appearance!

Heads up: construction is currently underway at the Trunk Road and Palmer-Fishhook Road intersection, so be sure to allow a little extra travel time.

Whether you can stay for an hour or the whole morning, every bit of help makes a difference. We hope to see you out there!

Grab your gloves and join us for a morning of trail stewardship on Saturday, June 20th!

We’ll be working together to improve the trail system by repairing rough spots and addressing small drainage issues that help keep the trails in great shape.

No experience is required, and everyone is encouraged to participate. We’ll provide tools, but if you have a shovel or garden rake, feel free to bring it along. A limited number of gloves will also be available.

After the work is done, we’ll refuel with food and drinks pizza is likely back on the menu and anyone interested is welcome to stick around for a ride.

Please be aware that construction at the Trunk Road and Palmer-Fishhook Road intersection may cause delays, so plan your travel accordingly.

Come out, meet fellow trail users, and help make our trails even better for the entire community!

Sprockidz Ride #4

Hey Sprockidz families!

We’re looking forward to another beautiful ride today! This is our long ride day, so please make sure your kiddo arrives fueled up, with plenty of water, bug spray, and ready to put on some miles.

Since we’re only in Week 2, expect a little more movement between groups as we continue getting everyone situated in the best fit for their abilities and comfort level.

We are also in need of a Parking Lot Monitor tonight. If you’re able to help, please reach out before the start of the ride so we can make sure that position is covered.

And finally, please take a moment to thank your coaches! They are all volunteers who generously give their time and energy to make Sprockidz possible, and we truly appreciate everything they do for our kidz.

Sprockidz Parents: We’re excited for our long ride day today!

There’s a chance we may see a little rain, so please make sure your kiddo brings rain gear, bug spray, and has water easily accessible. We’re hoping to put in some good miles today!

We are also looking for a Parking Lot Monitor and candy donations for today’s ride.

Lastly, please remind your kiddo that no riding in the parking lot is allowed.

Hey SprockidZ Family!
Today is our first ride of the season, and it’s going to be amazing!
Here’s the scoop: The ride will start promptly at 6:30 PM. Please plan to arrive 15–20 minutes early so you have plenty of time to find your group and get settled.
Returning riders: You will move up one color group from the group you rode with last year.
New riders: Please head to the New Rider sign when you arrive. We will get you placed into a group by the end of the night.
Parents: There will be a mandatory parent meeting at approximately 7:00 PM. During the meeting, we’ll go over what the season will look like, important information you’ll need, how to best prepare your kiddos for a successful season, and answer any questions you may have.
The first night is always a little chaotic as we get everyone checked in and situated, but it’s going to be a fantastic evening!
It’s hot outside, so please make sure your rider brings plenty of water.
The mosquitoes are especially intense this year, so we highly recommend bringing and applying bug spray before the ride.
The ride will conclude at 8:00 PM.
We can’t wait to kick off another great season with all of you. See you tonight!

Sprockidz Starts Monday!

Monday is coming fast, so make sure your bike and all of your riding gear are ready to go for the season! Please check that your bike is in good working order, tires are inflated, brakes are functioning properly, and your helmet is ready for the trail.

The first day is always a busy one as we get everyone sorted into groups:

🔹 Returning riders: You will move up one color group from where you finished last season.

🔹 New riders: Look for the New Riders Flag when you arrive. We’ll have you gather there while coaches assess riding ability and help place you into the group that best fits your speed and experience level.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parents of Riders: Once the kidz head out on their rides, we’ll hold a brief parent meeting to discuss what the season will look like, important information, and what to expect over the next several weeks.

⏰ Please plan to arrive at the Kin-Win Trailhead about 20 minutes early to allow time for check-in and group assignments.

We can’t wait to kick off another awesome season of getting more kidz on more bikes more often! 🚲💚
