Most of us know that hip thrusts are one of the best movements to build strong glutes! So besides getting a big ole DONK, why are strong glutes important?
1️⃣ Improved posture! Most of Americans sit W A Y too much. Sitting too much (being in hip flexion) means your glutes are disengaged and your hip flexors are probably becoming tighter than Ariana Grandes pony tail. This will eventually inhibit your ability to fully extend your hips and engage your glutes properly. Sounds like some serious slouching to me!
2️⃣ Improved back, hip, knee, and ankle pain! This one ties in to # 1 as improved posture should improve back pain. Your glutes also work to stabilize and keep your pelvis in its proper position. The body is a kinetic chain and if one link is out of wack, it can cause issues down the line to compensate!
3️⃣ Increased athleticism! If you want to be an athletic beast, you N E E D strong glutes. This will improve speed, agility, power, and balance as well as lower your risk of injury. Seriously, I can not stress enough how crucial a strong wagon is for every athlete!
