PSGSL ARCHIVES: The Invitation

Before there were championship teams, tournament trips, league traditions, or hundreds of players, there was a simple invitation like this one. This flyer announced PSGSL's inaugural Fall League, beginning October 2, 2005, and invited anyone interested to come out, learn the game, and become part of something new.

Player clinics were held every Sunday evening giving new players a chance to develop their skills before the season began. Registration wasn't online, and there were no social media pages to follow. If you wanted to join, you simply called Tommie Douglas or John Borja.

Looking back, it's amazing to think how much grew from this one invitation. Today, we invite YOU to join the PSGSL family by registering for our New Player Clinics this weekend, September 12 and 13 and Big League Dreams. Simply follow this link and join us!

Reminder! Ready to sharpen your game? We’re hitting the field September 20 from 9–11 AM. Field location will be at Big League Dreams. Open to all registered players.

Whether you’re new to the game or looking to level up, come work on your fielding, decision-making, and those little plays that can make a BIG difference.

Bring your glove, good shoes, plenty of water, and come ready to learn and play from some of the best in our league. See you on the field!

Dates: September 12 & 13
Location: Big League Dreams (33700 Date Palm Dr, Cathedral City)
Start time: 9 AM

You only need to attend ONE of the two clinic days. When registering, please select either September 12 OR September 13.

Register by September 11 so we know how many players to expect.

Whether you’re brand new to softball or just looking to brush up on your skills, we’d love to have you join us!

As our teams make their way home from the World Series, it’s time to start looking ahead to what’s next. November will be here before we know it, and we’d love to have you join us for the PalmSprings TurkeyShootout.

Maybe it’s the sunshine. Maybe it’s the competition. Maybe it’s the friendships that keep bringing teams back year after year. Whatever it is, we’d love for you to experience it. Don’t take our word for it. Read what others are saying! Team registration is due October 30.

That’s a wrap on the 2026 World Series! We had a lot of fun, made great memories, and watched first-timers experience the World Series for the first time. Congratulations Palm Springs Stingers, PS Tool Shed Heat Strokes, PS Greyhounds, PS Rumble!

A huge thank you to GSWS Columbus for welcoming us and to International Pride Softball for putting together another incredible tournament. We’re grateful for all the work that goes into making this experience one our league looks forward to every year.

And one more time, congratulations to PS Past Our Prime for taking second in Legends C - What an incredible run—and what a way to represent Palm Springs.

Good night from Columbus. We’ll carry a little bit of you with us as we head home. Until we meet again… San Francisco, we’ll see you there.

Congratulations to PS Past Our Prime on an incredible run at GSWS! We couldn’t be prouder of this team and the way you represented Palm Springs every step of the way.

We watched. We cheered. We believed.

A second-place finish is something to celebrate, but what stood out most was the heart, energy, and pride you brought to the field. It was a privilege to watch you compete and be there cheering you on.
