Wow, can you believe it’s been five years since I completed my Athletic Reformer: Lower Body Volume Two workbook for Pilates lovers? This journey began when I started translating some of my favorite Pilates chair exercises onto the reformer, creating a killer strength program to warm up and prep the body for some serious training.

By focusing on quality and consistency in Pilates, we change our perspective, moving away from physical appearance and towards how we feel, and we evaluate our progress based on the effort we put in and the progress we make in our movement. The goal of a gymnast is to excel, not just look good, and similarly, our goal in Pilates should be to achieve mastery, with the physical benefits being a natural outcome. Keep this focus in mind with your Pilates practice.
