Palm Desert Swim Club is comprised of swimmers of all ages and abilities from the 6 year old beginner to the 18 year old Junior Olympic competitor and has 10 different groups of ages and abilities making it possible for anyone to be part of the team. Swimmers from Palm Springs to Indio are flocking to the new state of the art Palm Desert Aquatic Center to be part of the fun. As the Coachella Valle

y’s only non-profit public charitable organization, the club is able to keep the program affordable and offer scholarships through grants and fundraising. One of the main goals of the club is to further develop their outreach swimming program in both the competitive arena as well as developing new swimmers in the community. Swimming is a process that develops character through discipline, teamwork, commitment and sportsmanship. These character traits not only foster success in all aspects of life, but last a lifetime.

Congratulations to all of our swimmers who competed at our first swim meet of the season this past weekend! Here's a quick recap from Coach Tom:

Eight Junior Advanced swimmers made the trip to Hemet over the weekend for the first meet of our '22-'23 short course season. We swam 47 races, had 19 personal best times, and 10 new "BB" national age group motivational times.

Leah had three PBTs and "BB" times in four attempts while Andrew was 2-for-2 in both categories. Also notching PBTs were Matthew and Geneva (each with 3), Joslyn (2), and Siddu (1).

The 8 & Under Novice II Group is designed to offer your child an opportunity to acquire new skills and confidence in the water in an environment that fosters a love of the sport.

This program focuses on the development of Freestyle and Backstroke. Swimmers will learn proper body position, body roll, and rhythmic breathing techniques.
