Story Time!!!
So right around my birthday I’m over at the The Sinker Guy garage. Bambi mentions we should go to the outer banks. Chip looks at me. Without hesitation or asking the wife I reply I’m in.
So we full send it. We get up there nothing planned. We didn’t even have a place to stay yet because it was the opening weekend for tourist season there.
We find a place and hit the beach. We link up with Jim and we are fishing hard. We catch a few pompano, a put on some sand flea Fishbites on a BS Rig from DS Custom Tackle with non other then a 5oz Sputnik from the sinker guy and launch it as far as I can with my 13’ Over The Bar Rods. A few moments later the rod is doubled over and I reel in my PB Pompano it was just over 4lbs, worthy of a citation and an entry into Jim’s tournament. Well the tournament has closed and I placed 3rd over all.
Here we are in January and I get a phone call from Chip to come over he’s got something for me. I open the box to my prize pack from Jim and Lisa (Which including Pompano Cookies) I honestly couldn’t have been more excited about this win. On a whim we make this trip happen and boy it was an absolute blast. Can’t wait to do it again
