Another exciting Celebrity Chef announcement today, as my friend and partner, Evan Ackerly of Ackerly Equestrian Services steps up to the hibachi! Evan will trade his spurs for the night to bring the fire on August 27th at Fujiyama Stuart Japanese Steak House in support of my campaign as a cast member in this year's Dancing with the Martin Stars benefiting the Martin County Healthy Start Coalition, Inc. You all know Evan's prowess as a rider and trainer....now grab a seat at his table to see him cook! Plan Ahead

We dodged a bullet this time, but this season is predicted to be a busy one for tropical activity in the Atlantic. We have decided to offer 5 horse owners a unique opportunity to insure themselves against the anxiety, expense and hassle of frantically trying to haul out or find a safe place for their horse in the event of a hurricane. This is NOT full time boarding, but for the cost of one month of Training Board, we GUARANTEE you a stall in our CBS barn for EVERY HURRICANE of the 2022 season! Our Hurricane Hotel features CBS construction, Strapped Roof, Impact Glass on all the Windows, a Generator, Coverings on All Openings, and a 24 hour on site Trainer in the barn with the horses during the storm. Peace of mind for every storm of the season is available for a select few who want to plan ahead and take the stress out of the South Florida Hurricane Season. This weekend was owned by two of our very own Ladies Level One Shooters, Tess Milner and Jill Shirin. They both ROCKED it! Less than 3 months ago, neither had ever competed in Mounted Shooting before. Tess debuted her new shooting pony this weekend and this was Jill’s first shoot! Special thanks and shout outs to: Florida Peacemakers for welcoming us and running a fabulous event, Xtreme Horsemanship for their hospitality and tireless support and Ackerly Equestrian Services for all the hours of coaching and training you do for the club. NO PRACTICE this weekend! Our club will be represented at the Florida Peacemakers’ shoot at L CROSS Equestrian Center in Lady Lake Saturday and Sunday, 08/21 and 08/22. Come join us at the competition and get your feet wet! This is a well run, ammy friendly shoot. We will post our Fall Practice Schedule next week and hope to see you all soon!

Our club showed up to show off this weekend at the L CROSS Equestrian Center! The two, 1 day shoots were hosted by the Florida Peacemakers, who, as usual, welcomed us with open arms! Our members Gillie, Tess and President/Coach Evan Ackerly rocked all 8 of their stages, making huge strides over last month! Evan even earned his first Mounted Shooting paycheck in the “Clean Shooter” jackpot! Very special thank you goes out to Ryan Anderson and the Xtreme Horsemanship team for their hospitality and continued support of our growing club. Next practice is July 25th at Tailwind Trails from 2-4. Join us!

Another great practice today for our club. Everyone made great progress! Karen and Amanda both shot off of their horses for the first time! Whoop whoop!! Special shout out to the neighbors who came to watch and cheer on the riders! We loved having you all with us. July’s club shooting practice will be the 11th and the 25th from 2-4. Don’t forget, Ackerly Equestrian Services is always available for private Mounted Shooting Lessons if you feel you would benefit from some additional instruction or if you want to try it for the first time and acclimate your horse properly.
