🌿 Summer Camp Adventures at The Nest! 🌿
Here's a look at what our Junior Nesters were up to during the first week of summer camp!
On June 9th, we welcomed Sierra from Sierra's Bees, who taught the kids all about the important role bees play in keeping our green spaces healthy. The juniors learned the difference between girl and boy bees, discovered how baby bees grow, and even sampled a delicious honey blend straight from the hive! 🍯
The adventure continued with Audubon International's Species Counting Competition. Joined by our Director of Agronomy, Clint, the kids hopped into golf carts and explored The Nest and Sandhill Crane courses in search of wildlife!
Their discoveries included:
🌱 A family of Sandhill Cranes
🪽 An Egret
🍃 An Anhinga (also known as the "Black Snakebird")
🐊 A baby alligator
These are just a few of the amazing species that call our courses home!
Want to join the fun? Come out on June 16th and June 18th and see what wildlife you can spot while enjoying a round of golf. Post your pictures on Facebook, tag us, and use to show us the course through your eyes! You never know if you'll catch a glimpse of a hawk soaring overhead or even a bobcat roaming the course! 👀 Click here to book your next tee time: https://bit.ly/4d9l5Er
