September 8th is International Day

Today, we want to give a special shoutout and recognition to the person who plays a huge role in making Sandhill Crane and The Nest places we're proud to call home: our Golf Course Superintendent, Clinton Tingen!

Clint, thank you for the countless early mornings, long days, and behind-the-scenes work that keep our courses looking and performing their best. Your dedication goes far beyond the turf. You lead with knowledge and passion, care deeply for our courses and their natural environment, support your team, and are always looking for ways to make the experience better for our golfers and our community.

So much of what you do happens behind the scenes, but its impact is felt every day.

Monday, August 10 through Friday, August 14, Sandhill Crane Golf Club will be closed for routine maintenance work and course care. The Golf Course will reopen Saturday, August 15.

The Nest Par 3 Golf Course will be open Tuesday, August 11 through Friday, August 14.

Behind the Scenes: Building Better Greens ⛳

Ever wonder what really happens during the process? 🤔

It's a lot more than just punching holes in the green. From removing compaction to improving turf health and creating smoother playing conditions, our Golf Course Maintenance team puts in an incredible amount of work behind the scenes to keep both Sandhill Crane Golf Club and The Nest at their best!

Check out some of the photos below and see if you spot our Communications Specialist around there. Between coordinating aerification and overseeing maintenance at both facilities, Clint still found time to give our office girl a hands-on lesson operating the Toro ProCore 648, giving her a firsthand look at the work that goes into maintaining healthy, high-quality playing conditions!
