There’s something timeless about fishing—no email notifications, no rush, just fresh air, good company, and the excitement of seeing what’s on the end of the line. Member Hilary Gould shared several wonderful wildlife photos she captured while out on our golf courses, and this handsome Brown Pelican was one of our favorites. We thank her for sharing her perspective with us!

Pelicans use "ground effect," riding a cushion of air above the water's surface. That's why they often skim so low over bodies of water with barely a flap of their wings. Unlike many other pelicans around the world, Brown Pelicans are famous for their plunge-diving. They spot fish from above and dive headfirst into the water, scooping up prey in their expandable pouch, which can hold several gallons of water.

Environmental stewardship is important to us at Mirasol, and we wanted to ensure that our beautiful trees were preserved as we prepare for our Mirasol Master Plan transformation!

Eight live oak trees were successfully relocated to their new homes after being root pruned over a year ago in anticipation for this journey. The new locations for these stunning trees will help frame our 18th holes, adding aesthetic value for our players, but will also add to the stunning vistas members will enjoy from Overlook Bar & Grill, our new casual dining restaurant.

When our grand new building is complete this fall, these majestic oaks will stand as a lasting reminder of our commitment to preserving the natural beauty that defines Mirasol.

Before the first tee time and long after the final putt drops, countless details go into preparing, staging, and caring for our fleet. From greeting golfers and handling bags to ensuring every cart is clean, charged, and ready to go, these dedicated team members help create the seamless experience our members enjoy on the courses each day.

Thank you to the hardworking individuals - including Casey Carpenter, Kyle Nieter, and Luis Dominguez, shown here - who keep our golfers moving and our operation rolling. We appreciate all that you do!

Our second week of Summer Junior Golf Camp is in the books, and we have three more action-packed weeks to go!

Assistant Golf Professional Brian Bartow and our coaching team have had a wonderful time sharing their love of the game with junior golfers ages six and up, teaching technique and etiquette while campers enjoy time on our practice facilities and friendly competitions along the way. Each half-day session concludes with a delicious lunch and swimming, making it a fun-filled way for our Mirakids to spend the day at their Club.

Members, if your child is more interested in games on the greenspace, arts and crafts, and exciting field trips, they'll love Camp Mirasol at the Sports Complex! These two camps alternate throughout the summer, offering something for every interest right here in your own backyard. Visit our online calendar for details!

On this , we're looking back to our celebration of a wonderful season of ladies' team tennis!

Our annual Closing Luncheon was a chance to recognize our players, captains, and coaches while looking back on a season filled with memorable moments both on and off the court. Coach's Awards honored outstanding contributions throughout the season, and a few lighthearted awards brought plenty of smiles as we celebrated the personalities that make our tennis community such a special one.

We thank all of our players, captains, and coaches for another fantastic season! We appreciate everything you brought to the courts this year and look forward to seeing everyone back in action soon.

Member Brenda Babitz appreciated this unexpected visitor in her backyard one evening and again the following morning, and we thank her for sharing these photos with us.

As the sun began to set, this bobcat was just getting started! Bobcats are crepuscular, meaning they are most active around sunrise and sunset, when their sharp eyesight and excellent hearing give them an advantage while hunting. While it can be surprising to spot one so close to home, bobcats are a sign of a healthy ecosystem. As predators, they help keep populations of rodents and other small animals in balance, making them an important part of our preserve area's natural environment.

A season well played deserves a proper toast!

Director of Racquet Sports Kristine Mendivil (left) shared this photo of our men's tennis players gathering for an end-of-season happy hour. After months of practice and tough competition, it was the perfect opportunity to relax, raise a glass, and celebrate another memorable season together.
