MATH 👏 TIME 👏

Who knew a Gunshop would do some math? Well, we got our first batch of Form 4 approvals through so that means we get to practice our 6th grade math skills!

As we see in the image below we have 10 numbers, each number is the days it took from submission to approval. Now, we use those numbers to get an average approval time so we can educate YOU on what wait you might be expecting! White lab coat time:

Just like we typically do, we are going to get the average wait time... but this time were going to see what has changed since last years wait times:

Last year we had a 7 day wait time including outliers and a 4 day wait not counting our outliers! Not too bad!

This year we have no outliers yet, so that means we get to do the simple math which means our current wait time is... 11 days! A bit longer but still better than 365+ that is was a few years ago.

Now the twist: with 7 days (or 4) then, and 11 days now we are looking at a 57% INCREASE in wait times compared to the 7 days. With the 4 day number we are looking at a 175% INCREASE! That's a big number..

With the current state of the NFA form submission process, we may be expecting delayed times for submissions and approvals for Form 4's and 1's. With the way the form system is backlogged right now, we are ale to create and finalize Form 4's but not submit until we get a lucky clearing where we can get a form in line, we are not sure what current approval times are as we haven't had an approval yet.
