Join us as we climb, remember, and honor. The Harper College Campus Recreation and the Center for Student Veterans and Military Connected Students encourage you to join the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. This event is held in support of the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climbs and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, helping honor the lives, courage, and sacrifice of the firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Participants are invited to climb or walk the equivalent of the 110 stories, or 2,100 steps, of the World Trade Center in honor and remembrance of the 343 FDNY firefighters who lost their lives on 9/11.
The challenge can be completed anytime between 5:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. and takes approximately 20–40 minutes to complete. Participants may complete the challenge on the StairMaster at their own pace.
Admission to the Fitness Floor is FREE for this event. Participants must be 18 years or older and complete and sign a waiver at the Fitness Floor desk before participating.
Throughout the day, completed stair climbs will be tracked and combined for an end-of-day total, giving the Harper College community an opportunity to come together in remembrance and honor.
