All finished. I can't find my leather working kit. I've checked the industrial shop, home shop, and garage. I just can't find the damn thing so I'm going to have to call this good. My first fillet knife. This one will be auctioned off for the DesRosiers Benefit.

My first fillet knife completed. Inspired by the king salmon fishing trip in Ketchikan AK. Black G10 with white G10 liners to resist water. Sanded smooth and polished for easy cleaning. Stainless steel corbys, and lanyard for corrosion resistance. CPM 154 stainless steel blade, 3/32 thick. Ground on a 48 " platen.

Etched my logo then handed sanded the blade to clean it all up.

One more day of fine tuning and hand sanding and it will be done. Just need to add my name and get the sheath made.

So since it's going to be a some time before the end mill is back up and running I'm going to switch gears and use the fillet knife as the Desrosiers benefit knife. CPM 154, ground on a 48" platen by nathan the machinist. Black G10 with White G10 liners.

Just blew the contactor. Scared me pretty good. I'm not an electrician but I know letting the smoke and sparks out isn't good.

Milling out the copper, and blade to the final dimension. Final fit. Now to drill the pins in the guard.
