This session will be more fast paced because it is the second day but we still encourage you to come if you would like to get insight on the sport of wrestling! Please sign up via the Google form if you are interested. If you have already signed up you do not need to sign up again. This is for new kiddos who would like to come. There is still time to sign up for our last open mat session this weekend! We are not putting a cap on participants. This is the last opportunity to experience the sport of wrestling before the season starts in October. If you’re interested, please fill out the Google form. Remember each child needs their own form, even if they are siblings. If you have any questions, please send us a message!

Good Afternoon Jr. Trojan Wrestling Family! After many discussions with parents from previous sessions, the higher request was for this weekend for our last open mat session.

Therefore, this weekend we will be hosting our LAST open mat session of the summer. Open mat will be July 18 and July 19 from 9:30am-11:30am. The fee is $10 per session per kid. Open mats will take place at PVHS wrestling room. Please enter through the side gate by the football field. Things you need to know & bring:

-Grades Kinder (starting age 5)—8th grade (unless you are a returning wrestler, we know who you are)
-No high schoolers or athletes entering high school
-$10 cash per kid per session
-If you have wrestling shoes, please bring them. If not, your child can participate in socks.
-Bring plenty of water
-No siblings on the mat unless signed up.
-Please respect the facilities as they are borrowed.
-Please take all phone calls outside during the session.
-No onsite sign ups. This is for safety purposes and guidelines for the facilities.
-Parents can drop off but please be back at 11:30am for pick up
-If you stay, there will be table and chairs.

Open mat will be July 11 and July 12 from 9:30am-12:30pm. The fee is $10 per session per kid. Open mats will take place at PVHS wrestling room. Please enter through the side gate by the football field.Things you need to know & bring:

-Parents we ask that you refrain from cheering or speaking to your child during the session. During the session they need to be focused to ensure safety of moves and technique.
-please only sign up your child if you are serious about the sport. This is NOT a baby sitting gig. Your child has to want to be there to learn and decide if wrestling is for them.
-We have 40 spots open
-No onsite sign ups. When the form is closed, it’s closed. This is for safety purposes and guidelines for the facilities.
-Parents can drop off but please be back at 12:30pm sharp for pick up
-If you stay, there will be table and chairs. We ask you sit quietly and observe. We want to give our coaches the respect of them coaching without distractions.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our open mat sessions this weekend; new wrestlers, returning wrestlers and coaches!! If you missed this weekends sessions, we will have two more weekends in July so please turn on your notifications for our page so you can stay up-to-date when information is posted. 😁

For those who signed up via Google form for our open mat sessions this weekend:

Due to some circumstances out of our control, we will have to push the start time for tomorrow, Saturday June 27 to 9:30am instead of 9am. We are sorry for any inconvenience. The new open mat time session for Saturday June 27 is now 9:30am-12:30pm. Open mat time session for Sunday remains the same, 9am-12pm. Please note this new time for Saturday!

Reminders:
-no onsite sign ups, we have to start promptly!
-bring extra water
-each session is $10 per kid per session- example Saturday is $10 and Sunday is $10.
-bring wrestling shoes if you have them, if not your child will practice in their socks.
-socks are mandatory!!
-parents are allowed to spectate but we ask that all siblings remain in chairs, keep noise level low, phone calls to be taken outside and for all spectators to respect the facility as it is borrowed to our club.

Friendly reminder. Our open mat sign up form closes at 12pm today. We have 3 spots left. Once it’s closed, it’s closed. It will close sooner if we meet our limit.
