I am happy to announce that the new pickleball courts at Ute Park in Aspen Springs 5 on Ute Drive are officially open to the public! Please bring your own paddles and balls and have a great time! Also, please respect the nearby neighbors and only play between 8 am and dusk.

Please help make these basketball and pickeball courts last as long as possible so everyone can enjoy them by following some basic rules:
- No wheeled devices of any kind including but not limited to bicycles, scooters, skate boards, roller skates, wagons, etc.
- No boots, hard soled or street shoes. Clean tennis or basketball shoes only
- No pushing, pulling, running into or jumping on the pickleball nets.
- Do not adjust the nets. If they need adjustment, please contact the Aspen Springs Metro or myself.
- Do not dunk or hang from the basketball rim.
- All children should be supervised at all times. Children under 12 should not enter the courts without an adult present.
- No chalk, paint or markers are allowed on the basketball or pickleball courts. Please don't write or draw on the courts with anything.
- Please do not pull on or hang anything from the wind screens. If you see the zip ties are broken or missing, please feel free to replace them or contact the Aspen Springs Metro District for repairs.
- No food or drinks (with the exception of water) is allowed on the courts at anytime. We have no means of cleaning up spills. Please enjoy your drinks and food at the pavilion next to the playground.
- For safety reasons, please do not attempt to play on any courts if they are wet or if it is raining, snow covered or icy. The painted surface can get very slippery.
- There is no trash service at this park. Take your all trash with you when you leave. If you see any trash left by someone else, help make the world a better place, pick it up and throw it away when you can.
- Lastly, if you see anyone abusing, destroying, or vandalizing the courts in anyway, please contact the sheriff's department immediately.

Today's volunteers! Jason Midgley, Kelly Carson Evans, Ricki Abney. Barb Donovan, Steven Mullins, Lisa Mullins , Steve Newby and Hillary Ulmes Midgley . Thank you for giving your time and hard work to make our new courts such an amazing addition to our local park. The basketball court will be open for play tomorrow afternoon. The pickleball courts will not be open for a few more days. I will announce as soon as they will be available. Please respect the locks and only enter the courts that are unlocked. Thank you.

I am working hard to bring something nice to our neighborhood at Ute Park. Please don't be destructive. Please don't jump on the nets at the new pickleball courts. This is not going to be an easy fix, so this court will be down for a few weeks. If your kids play at the courts, please ask them use the courts properly and with respect.
Also, who ever took the new pickleball paddle sets home, please return them. They belong to your neighbors, not you.

Pickleball and basketball courts are open and ready for play! We still need to paint the courts starting in mid August but temp tape lines are down and permanent nets are installed! Big thanks to Russell, Anne, and Tony for helping me clean the courts and install the temporary tape lines!

I am slowly getting the Ute Park Courts ready. Basketball Post is up and ready for play! Pickleball nets will hopefully be installed by Friday. Please stay off the pickleball courts until I make them available.
There was a delay with the acrylic paint order so that won't get started until mid August but I am doing what I can to get the courts at least somewhat playable for everyone until then.
Also, whoever left a nice new Basketball for everyone to enjoy on the court thank you so much!
