I’ve visited many hunting groups/pages. Some asking the simple question “Guess what he scores”? Some of y’all are still wearing your diapers. Can’t even answer a simple question. If a fellow hunter/huntress is asking a question, why can’t you just answer it? We’re supposed to be supporting each other. We’re supposed to be giving each other advice. Nowhere….have I seen anywhere, where it says to make fun of someone for asking a simple question. You people get upset when someone bullies your kids? You….are…those …kids. Answer it or stay off the page. Plain…and simple.

I have entered this contest for the last 2 yrs. At the current moment, I am in 5th place in the first round, which ends August 10th.

Never in my life, have I wanted anything more than this opportunity I am being given. Hunting, for me, is not just about killing something. It’s so much more. Not only am I doing something I never in my life imagined I would be doing, but I’ve learned so much through the years. The opportunity to be able to provide healthy food for my family is a blessing. I’m not just sitting in the forest waiting to harvest something, but I take a long look around me and I realize just how blessed I am to witness the natural beauty in my surroundings at any given moment. You will never find more peace than the calm and serenity of sitting beneath a tree. Listening and waiting. We tend to take a lot for granted in our every day lives. Life at work…hectic and stressful with no room to breath…and then you escape. To a whole,different world..and suddenly, all the stress disappears. The peace, returns. You take a deep breath and silence fills the air……Gratitude.
