Advanced Minis (Pre-Team) Evaluation Day

Each year, we invite and choose a little team of "Hot Shots" to join the "Advanced Minis", which is our FIRST LEVEL of our Competitive Gymnastics Team!

DETAILS

For: Girls 5 to 7 years old
Date: Saturday, August 29, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM

WHAT TO EXPECT & HOW TO PREPARE

Attire: Gymnasts should wear a properly fitted athletic leotard.Hair: Hair must be securely tied back out of the face in a ponytail or braids.

Evaluation Criteria:

Coaches will look at basic gymnastics skills, coordination, flexibility, listening skills, and a positive, coachable attitude!

Cost: Completely FREE!

Registration: No need to pre-register... walk-ins are welcome!
Can't make it? If you cannot make it on the 29th, you may schedule a private evaluation at the front desk.

Lakewood Gymnastics is seeking passionate, hardworking tumblers to join our competitive Tumbling & Trampoline Team!

Transition from recreational classes to a thrilling competitive track.

Girls and Boys
7 Years & Older

What to wear - Leotard or fitted athletic wear.
No zippers or jewelry.

What Coaches Are Evaluating:
• Baseline Tumbling Skills — Demonstration of basic body control, fundamental shapes, and existing
tumbling elements.
• Strength & Power — Core strength, leg power, and explosive drive necessary for fast-paced track and
trampoline work.
• Flexibility & Coordination — Active flexibility range and overall spatial awareness on competitive
equipment.
• Coachability & Focus — Ability to listen actively, apply safety corrections quickly, and maintain a positive
attitude.

MATKATZ HOTSHOTS will practice Mondays 6pm to 7pm
