We had an amazing time at the Universal Martial Arts Championship this year!

Slade stepped up and went all in for his very first competition, performing both his kata and sparring like a champ. Storm and Harley returned for their second competition and continue to show great growth and determination. Jasper and Michael added another memorable year to the books with strong performances all around.

I couldn’t be more proud of each of them. Huge thanks as well to Hub City Martial Arts and all the students for the incredible support. It’s always great to be part of an environment where schools not only compete hard but also show respect and encouragement toward one another.

Already looking forward to the next one!

We had an incredible time at McCluney's School of Tae Kwon Do this weekend!

I couldn’t be more proud of our four competitors, especially our two first-timers who stepped onto the mat and truly tested their skills against talented friends from other schools. That takes courage, focus, and heart, and they showed all of it.

Great job to everyone who competed. You represented our team with excellence.

A big thank you to Slade for coming out to support the team. Your encouragement means a lot.

March 19th come out and support us in raising funds for our 2026 International Competiton in FRANCE!! All proceeds go directly towards the athletes registration and travel costs, this is a team event and all donations/support will be split evenly amongst the 8 Athletes from our gym. Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas! What a blessin’ of a year it’s been. Here are a few snaps from our party (and a few extras). The food was downright delicious, thank y’all so much for takin’ the time to bring and share such amazing dishes! The family time was sweet, the laughter was loud, and the games were a whole lotta fun. We’ll see y’all after the New Year!

What a magical parade we had! It truly took a village to bring the magic Poler Express to life, and we loved every minute of it. From the skit to the northern lights and falling snow, we made it happen. Huge pride goes out to our students who worked hard to stay on cue, hit their marks, and project their voices so the crowd could hear them over the roaring truck and all the special effects.

A big thank you to Donnie for dreaming up the idea and helping make it a reality, and to Cross Roads Youth Ranch for once again letting us borrow the trailer and that massive oil drum. Shout-out to our fearless driver, , for piloting this giant locomotive through the parade. Hats off to our hot cocoa hero, Emilie Parsons who braved the train ride to keep the cocoa flowing, and to our train engineer, Luke May, who took on the challenge of running the smoke, snow, and ringing that train bell right on cue.

We are also grateful for the parents and families who jumped in to help, practiced in the cold, and supported their young ones as they performed in front of hundreds of people. Watching these students take the stage, build confidence, and shine was something special. One of our favorite moments was bringing the crowd into the skits by asking if they believe. Nothing like spreading Christmas spirit together.

Great work, everyone! We can’t wait to see the Town of Pacolet again at the next Christmas parade.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our long standing Dojo Organization promoters, Hanshi James E. White. Funeral arrangement will be announced at a later date.

To honor the memory of James E. White, a respected martial artist, who leaves behind a legacy in martial arts. His contributions to the community and martial arts will be remembered fondly.

A memorial service will be held at a local funeral home; details to be announced. Family and friends are encouraged to share their memories and condolences.

Donations in his memory may be directed to a charity of choice related to martial arts or youth programs.

Please put the White Family in your prayers as they go through this time of loss.

This year’s Halloween Glow Party was an unforgettable night for our karate students! They got to experience training in a whole new way. With the lights low and the glow turned up! The darkness and glowing atmosphere added an exciting twist to the lesson, challenging focus, awareness, and adaptability in a fun and spooky setting. 👻

A special shout-out to our Grill Master Hunter, who braved the rain to make sure everyone was well-fed! 🍔

We also want to thank all the parents and guardians who helped with setup and cleanup — your teamwork and positive energy make our dojo community truly special.

We’d like to thank our photographer Emilie for being part of our Halloween Glow Party and capturing the evening so well. Your photos helped us see the energy, focus, and fun that made the night special.

We appreciate the time and effort you put into helping us preserve these moments for our students, families, and dojo community. Thanks for being there and helping us remember a great night together. 🥋🎃

Because of you, the glow will last far beyond the night!

And finally, a big thank-you to our students for your enthusiasm, respect, and spirit — you are what makes nights like this so memorable!
