Today we celebrated our first birthday under the FSKB/Kickboxing name, marking a new chapter in a journey that has been inspiring lives for 8 years. While our name may have changed, our mission has always remained the same: helping people become stronger, healthier, and more confident…one class at a time.🥊❤️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for today’s potluck party! From the delicious dishes to the laughter, conversations, and unforgettable memories, you made this celebration so special. Our studio is more than a place to work out…it’s a family, and today was a beautiful reminder of that.😍

🌟 KICKBOXER OF THE MONTH: KARISHMA 🌟

We’re proud to spotlight someone who embodies resilience, determination, and the courage to step outside of her comfort zone. Since joining FitSculpt, Karishma has become a familiar face in the studio, consistently showing up with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a drive to keep improving.
Her growth has been incredible to watch, both on and off the mat. She brings heart, dedication, and an uplifting energy that makes our community stronger. Karishma reminds us that some of the most rewarding journeys begin with a single step and the decision to simply show up.

Here’s her story:

“Hi, I’m Karishma! I came into FitSculpt with zero experience and I can’t believe how far I’ve come. I moved up to the Bay 10 years ago and always wanted to learn some sort of martial arts for self defense but was too intimidated to enter a gym. Last fall, I went through some unexpected life changes. It was an extremely difficult time for me and I had to start parts of my life completely from the ground up again. My small social circle became even smaller and I work crazy hours, so the loneliness was getting to me. One evening in November as I was leaving Safeway, I saw the kickboxing sign and took it as a literal sign to just walk in and see what this place was all about. What turned into trying to find community and keep my mind busy to ease my anxiety, turned into a therapeutic space where I can challenge my mind and push myself to my full potential!

I’d like to thank Chi and Elaine for creating a great community and encouraging me to add weight lifting to my package as well!

And a huuuuge thanks to JR, Roger, and Jay for always bringing the laughs, energy, encouragement and momentum to each class. I’ve learned so much from you three that I’m forever grateful for. My punches, hooks, and kicks are all a byproduct of you guys!! And I appreciate all the conversations we’ve had aside from kickboxing because it gave me a different outlook on life!

Dameeka’s journey at FSKB has been filled with challenges, strength, resilience, and determination, yet she continued to show up again and again with heart and purpose. She has inspired so many in our FitSculpt family, proving that true strength is built both inside and outside the gym.❤️

We are beyond proud of “THE MACHINE” and can’t wait to see her crush her next goal of 1,000 classes!⭐️🥊

“My name is Dameeka Mabron and here is my journey to FITSCULPT kickboxing.

I started last year when I was experiencing pain in the pelvic area and was bleeding so I went to the emergency room a couple to times. I finally went to ucs, took a chest and abdomen exam and found a tumor connected to my uterus.
I had a full Hysterectomy. After the surgery, they examined the tumor and found out it was cancer. The cancer had spread to my lungs making it stage 4 Sarcoma of uterus metastatic to lung, went through two months of chemotherapy that didn’t work. I went into a depression and didn’t want to do anything. If it wasn’t for my faith in God, and my family’s support I wouldn’t be the woman I am today…not only Physically but most importantly Spiritually. Now, l am on targeted treatment which has been a success.

I started out with 5 trial classes at FITSCULPT kickboxing in Pacifica, and I loved it so I became a member. Currently, I take 5 to 6 classes a week. My weight when I started was 218 pounds, now I am 160 pounds. I lost 58 pounds. Kickboxing not only helped me physically but also helped with my self-esteem.

This past year has been very challenging for me…from my surgery on my right arm to my cancer radiation treatments but the one constant for me has been FITSCULPT kickboxing. My second home away from home. From all the members to the instructors: Coach Jay, Coach Roger, Coach JR, Coach Jeremy, and of course, Elaine being such a positive and motivating presence in my life.

Getting to my 750th class wasn’t easy, but I did it. My next goal is making that 1000 class! No doubt I will get there because there is nothing that ‘the MACHINE’ can’t do!! 🥊” ~ DAMEEKA❤️
