My name is Bonita, ever since I was a little girl I knew that flying was my passion - I just didn't know what it would entail, or when I would get an opportunity to pursue that dream. One day in April, 2009, I saw paragliding for the first time after I purchased a one-way ticket to Hawaii. I was driving to the North Shore and we passed Kahana Bay and I looked up in the sky and said to my friends,

"What the hell is that?!! I want to do that!!!" Two weeks later, I began learning how to fly. To this day, I still get excited for every flight, even if it is only a short time in the air. I recently received my tandem license and am even more anxious and excited to share the stoke with someone else! To help someone else get so excited about flying is one of the best experiences in the world.

I recently celebrated my 1,000th tandem flight! Jar Jar joined me as he was my first passenger, and 500th! Here's a look back on that funny first flight in light, tricky wind on a 42m² Swing Twin5, and my 1,000th on my beloved Little Cloud Puffin Bi 29m²!!

I celebrated my 1,000th tandem flight today!! Naturally, I wanted to share it with Jar Jar! He was my 1st tandem flight, almost 9 years ago to the day; and my 500th!

I'm very lucky to get to share it with him! ❤️

Thanks to everyone who shared it with us and filmed, too! It was a special moment! Ursula, Jonathan, Stephan, Oregon Dan, Iris, Josh, and Razi were all there!
