Jubo Shongo & CDPNY would like to thank everyone that showed up and participated in working together to build the future of Bangladeshi American footballers. We would like to personally thank Shahel Bhai, Saief Bhai, Dr. Khaled Bhai, Juned Bhai, Shabbir Bhai and everyone else that came together to help throw a successful U14 tournament, this Labor Day weekend. We were very glad to see the parents of these talented youngsters show up to showcase their skills and talents. Everyone is a winner ! The future is certainly bright !

Update: Surgery was successful and now it’s time for the road to recovery, Insha’Allah 💪🏽🙏🏽

Assalamulaikum everyone. We humbly request the dua’s from everyone for our Full Back Defender, Majed Khan #12. He tore his anterior cruciate ligament, ACL, 3 months ago. He will undergo surgery today and will be out for about 4-6 months. May Allah grant him a successful surgery and ensure a speedy recovery. Jubo can’t wait to see him back on the field soon! Ameen. 💪🏽🙏🏽.

Jubo Shongo understood — it takes a great deal of time, money, and careful ex*****on of a plan to win a trophy. We hold no hate in our hearts, for hate only destroys the one who harbors it and can never destroy the one it’s directed at. We should remember the teaching of one of the prophets: ‘If they strike you on the right cheek, offer them your left cheek as well.’ Our team name is “Jubo Shongo”, in Bengali, “Jubo Shongo” (যুব সংঘ) translates to “Youth Association” or “Youth Organization” in English. Our name says everything about our identity, our mission and our philosophy. We believe whoever controls the youth/children controls the future”. There is a huge difference in the mentality of a 27-year-old adult and a 5-year-old child. It is the responsibility of the mature to guide the immature, so they too can grow into maturity.
