Another successful Pistol Bowling Pin Shoot! Congratulations to Jeff N. for taking the top centerfire spot with an aggregate score of 20.49! Coming in second was Justin L. with 22.74 and third Seth P. with 23.10.
Kudos to Mike H. for his outstanding rimfire aggregate score of 18.72! Followed by Paul F. with 63.06 and first time competitor Colton W. with a 112.37.
Thanks to all who participated! Trying the two tables kinda sped things up a little bit, so we'll keep trying different things to help streamline the event.

Time for another:

🏆🎳 SoF Pistol Bowling Pin Shoot! 15 December 2025🎳🏆

Just a reminder that the match is limited to 20 shooters MAX and if you want to shoot centerfire and rimfire you must register twice. Deadline to sign up is 14 December at 5:00 PM. Registrations are only available at the range or via phone.
The match was moved from the 8th to the 15th due to the backstops being cleaned out that week. Sorry for any inconvenience.

15 December 2025 5:00 PM and/or 6:00 PM
Pin Set Up:
-Shooters will engage 5 regulation bowling pins set on a table at 45' (15 yards).
-Shooters will have 4 opportunities (runs) to engage the 5 pins.
-Pins will be set 12 inches from the back edge for the Rimfire Class and 26 inches from the back edge for Centerfire Class.
Format:
-Matches are timed.
-The time will be from the start signal to the shot clearing the final pin.
-Any uncleared pins will each receive a 3 second penalty to be added to the time.
-Pins must be completely off the table to be ‘cleared’.
-Maximum time allowed is 30 seconds per run.
-The lowest 3 times of your 4 runs will be added together, with the lowest time being the winner.
Firearm Classes:
-Non-magnum centerfire handguns.
-Rimfire handguns.
(Shoot management retains the right to deny any firearm deemed not suitable for the competition.)
Guns and Ammo
-This event is designed to be a fun shoot – not a blood thirsty competition. Standard guns will work just fine – no need for space guns or specialized ‘pin’ guns.
-Traditional handguns may be used (no AR-15 style ‘pistols’ or other similar fi****ms, save them for the PCC shoot).
-Shoot management retains the right to deny any firearm deemed not suitable for the competition.
-Either open sights or red dot’s may be used.
-Shooter must bring a minimum of two magazines. Shooter may use as many magazines as they would like, but there is a 20 round maximum per run.
-Shooters should plan to shoot two runs without having to reload magazines. This will keep the shoot moving.
-There is a not a magazine capacity limit. However, this is a fun shoot. Shooters rocking ‘extendo’s’; will be mocked.
-Round count should be no more than 100 rounds per match. Really depends on how well you shoot!
-Ammunition should have FMJ bullets. Frangible ammunition is not allowed.
Cost:
-$20 per shooter. Please register no later than 24 hours prior to the shoot. Only a maximum of 10 shooters per time will be allowed. Currently only in store and phone registration is available.
-A maximum of 10 shooters per time will be allowed. 5:00 PM / 6:00 PM Depending on number of participants
-Age – shooters under 18 require pre-approval by Sound of Freedom
Prizes:
-We will come up with something. Probably a shot-up gold colored bowling pin or something similar!
-Right to trash talk, mock and encourage your friends

🗓 Date:
* Monday, November 17th, 2025

🕔 Times:
* 5:00 PM (10 shooters max)
* 6:00 PM (10 shooters max)

💥 Course of Fire:
- Each shooter gets 4 runs to clear 5 regulation bowling pins completely off a table 60 feet (20 yards) downrange.
- 20 rounds Max per run.
- 30 seconds Max per run.
- 3 second penalty for each pin left on the table.
- Your lowest 3 times are added together — Lowest score wins!

🔫 Two Classes of Fi****ms:
1️⃣ Any non-magnum centerfire PCC
2️⃣ Any .22LR rifle or carbine with detachable mags (10 round minimum, no tube-fed)

Hi Folks!
Here are the results from the Monday Pin Shoot. Not sure why it's so dark but, here it is. Congratulations to Chad B. for 1st Place Centerfire with a combined time of 20.45 seconds and Dustin T. for 1st Place Rimfire with a combined time of 29.34 seconds! Dustin come on by the range and pick up your Trophy whenever you like.
We did finish a little faster, about an hour, than the first shoot. Although, not as fast as I would like. We're still working the kinks out. Not a lot of people hung around to the end this time, but that's OK. I still had a good time and hopefully all of you did as well! Constructive criticism is always welcome on how to make this shoot better. Let me know.
Also, Fall League starts this coming Monday the 15th of September. Sign up now!
