Ozark School District Special Services Department is hosting a Transition and Resource Fair from 5-7 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Ozark Innovation Center for area junior high and high school-aged students who may be in special education, have a 504 or an IEP.
➡️ The come-and-go event will be an informational night with more than 20 local agencies and organizations coming together to meet with parents, guardians and students to talk about types of support and help available.
➡️ Students do NOT have to attend Ozark School District. Please share this post with families who you think may benefit!

Good Morning Everyone,

We hope you all have had a pleasant AMI experience and your athletes are ready to get back to our normal instructional routine on Monday. We are attaching a schedule for our Track and Field season. Our practices will begin on March 4th @ 5:30 pm. We planning to have our practices outside at the Ozark Junior High track, but we are ready to have those practices indoor if the weather has other plans. We will be having our practices every Tuesday, except for the 18th during our Springbreak. Our first meet with be at Ozark on April 9th.

Good Evening Everyone!

We had so much fun at the Nixa Special Olympic Basketball Tournament today. Jesse Williams of the Special Olympics and Coach Kallie and the rest of Nixa's staff could not have been more accommodating. It was so much fun seeing all the great teams and getting to support one another. It was also so cool to have the Nixa students cheer as the teams played their best. It is always great to win your bracket too. So please tell your athletes that they were brave today and they won. It is always a little sweeter when they do.

We will have practice at the Ozark High School tomorrow at 6:00 pm. If your athlete is tired or feeling under the weather, let us know and we will be thinking about them. We all need some rest right now!

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Thank you to everyone that came out today. We all saw a great show. We clearly have a very competitive group with lots of spirit. Others showed a tremendous amount of charisma. We all really owe Republic Schools and and Jesse Williams with SOMO for putting on a great event. Culvers for the athletes really was the cherry on top!

Please remember that we do have a tournament during the school day on Wednesday, 2/5. We will be leaving from the high school on our bus and arriving around 8:45 am at the Nixa High School. Coach Kallie of Nixa has been great to us and I am sure that will continue. For athletes that are meeting us there, please try to meet us at about 8:45 am. Opening ceremonies will begin at 9:15 am.

Good Afternoon Tigers,

We are having to cancel practice Thursday night. We will be having ICAP night then and will be unavailable to coach at that time.

Saturday, we will all be traveling to Republic for our first tournament. The following information has been provided to us:
1) We will be using the main, front entrance of the building, and we will have SOMO Feather Flags out front to mark which entrance that is in case of any confusion.
2) There is tons of room for parking, including for busses, and we will all be using that entrance.
3) There will be a coffee truck there as well, so make sure you come ready for some coffee!
4) The concession stand will be CASH ONLY, so please plan accordingly. The city of Republic has several banks with ATM’s if you need to grab cash nearby.
5) There will be signs pointing people towards the gyms once inside the building, and the gyms are right by each other and very close to the entrance.
6) The doors will not be unlocked until close to 8:30, as we will need time to set up before we allow teams inside. If you arrive earlier than 8:30, please wait patiently before coming inside.
7) Please remind your athletes, coaches, families, and everyone in your group that we are guests at this school, and we are there to use their gyms only. We do not have access to the rest of the building, so please do not wonder around hallways or try to enter other rooms.
😎 This is the first time we are able to use this school for SOMO events, so PLEASE try your best to throw all trash away properly and to not leave anything behind. We want to make sure we are allowed back in the future, so let’s make sure we treat the facility well.

NIXA PRACTICE IS NOT AT THE HIGH SCHOOL. PRACTICE WILL BE AT THE JUNIOR HIGH IN THEIR FEMA GYM ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE BUILDING.

Practice still starts at 6:00 pm and will end promptly at 7:00 pm. Please meet us at the Junior High of Nixa and we will be doing our warm ups and starting 5 on 5. Clever will be there too so we should have lots of fun and excitement!

Well, it looks like winter has finally shown up, and with it comes some exciting news—there’s no school tomorrow, Friday, January 10, due to inclement weather! Consider this your official permission to sleep in, build a snowman, or dust off your sled.

This is our first snow day, there will be NO AMI or virtual learning. AMI will start on the fifth snow day, if we make it there, of course. The School District will be officially closed all day Friday.

We hope you get to enjoy our first real snow of the season. Stay warm, stay safe, and we will see you on Monday.
