Whether you’re a climber not, there are two things you should be focused on for nutrition.
Hydration. Especially during the summer months. It’s way too easy to to get dehydrated while working out. Most people think they are getting enough water, and yet over 43% of people drink less than 4 cups of water a day.
You should aim to to drink around 12 cups a day for women and 15 cups a day for men.
The other thing is protein. We see so many people, but athletes specifically who are not getting enough protein. Protein is essential to building muscles, recovery, and fueling your body with the energy it needs to workout.
The protein intake for everyone can be a little different, depending on your activity level, are you biking long distance, power lifting, etc.
Most people should try and eat around 1 gram per body weight.
If you weight 150lbs try and aim for 130-150 grams of protein a day!
