Summer time fishing has been in full swing lately. People keep asking what they should bring on their next trip and our best advice is the "Kitchen Sink". If I was going to only pick 2 setups a 30 # flyline and a 80 # setup could probably get you through. But if you got other assorted setups between 20 # and 130 # id highly recommend bringing them. This fall is setting up to be a good one. We look forward to seeing you out here!

Some very good fishing has been going on out on the banks lately. One of the more productive methods has been surface iron. Definitely bring out a few assorted jigs and get some casting practice in before your trip.

Our 2 day Empire Cat charter has enjoyed some good opportunities on day time Bluefin with this 192 # being a standout as well as a few nice yellowfin. No a bad way to take a break from building the border wall I'd say. Going forsure tomorrow on a light load 2.5. Really good sign of fish these last 2 days.

Can't go wrong with size #6 or #4. You just need to make sure the line isn't too light that the mackerel break them. You never know what size of bait you're going to find. Also bring some larger hooks for fishing mackerel. Depending on the brand of hooks and size of the mackerel we'd recommend a few options between 4/0 all the way up to 9/0. Really just Depends on the application.

Be sure to grab a few sabiki bait catchers before your next trip. Even though we have the best live bait company in the world its still fishing not just catching. We will always try our best to catch you guys fish even if we have to make a little bit of live bait our selves.
