With some incredible night time Bluefin fishing happening in our zone we will definitely be trying to capitalize on our multi-day trips out of . Please bring some kind of heavy night time outfit (80 # to 130 #) and some assorted jigs ranging from 200 to 400 grams. We will still be targeting seabass, halibut, and bottom fish in the day time just like normal but if the weather and conditions allow for it we will be targeting bluefin in the dark.

Just rolling along with our summer schedule down in San Diego. It's always a nice change of pace from our springtime trips targeting seabass and halibut. If you guys are coming out with us soon we'd recommend bringing the kitchen sink. Everything from 20 # and #6 hooks all the way up to 100 # and 5/0 circle hooks. The bait company has been doing there best and we have had some pretty stellar bait recently but with that being said we are recommending passengers come out with at least 1 size 4 sabiki (bait catcher). Especially on longer trips there's a good chance of having to make some bait so please come prepared.

Sardines have been hard to come by recently. Anchovies are what's on the menu. Here are a few items we recommend bringing out on all trips right now.
1. Small hooks for the light line and small bait
2. Light fluorocarbon for these line shy bluefin
3.Small jigs for for that daytime bite

Alright guys we are in San Diego leaving on our 1st trip of the season out of . With opportunity during the day and night, please come prepared. 30 # up to 60 # for daytime with #2 to 3/0 circle hooks and the matching flouro for each line size. Night time 100 # minimum with metered spectra or at least spectra we can mark for proper depth. NO GREEN SPECTRA!!! IT'S ONLY INVISIBLE TO US.
