The club was formed in 1967 to establish a yachting organization in the Channel Islands area that emphasized sailing and boating activities.

Burial at Sea for Michael Gram, Saturday, August 30, 2025. Please join us. Boats will gather behind the Channel Islands Harbor detached breakwater 11:30 - 11:45 AM. The procession will be lead by Maine Squeeze, followed by Compass Rose and then the rest of the group*. Please monitor channel 68 for communication and the ceremony. The celebration in memory of Mike will continue at Anacapa Yacht Club @ 2:30 PM with food and drink. If you don't have your own boat, there is room on boats joining the celebration if you would like to attend.

*The procession will proceed bearing 233 Deg-M from Channel Marker 1 to approximately 34°07'29.7" N 119°18'23.7" W (about 4 nm offshore).
Why here? Angie explained that Coches Prietos was one of Mike's favorite anchorages, which is too far for a procession celebration. However, this location is about 4 nm from shore and is along a line from Channel Islands Harbor to Coches (see attached picture).
