🏉SENIOR WEEK SPOTLIGHT🎓🏉

Back: Garrett Green

Garrett joined the Reds in the spring season of his sophomore year while studying accounting. Coming from football Garrett’s speed and work rate helped him learn the game of 7s rugby quick. Making the nationals roster that year. In his first 15s season Garrett took time to learn and develop and as 15s player making impact with his speed and tackling. Garrett has shown great progress in the sport and we can’t wait to see where it takes him.

🏉SENIOR WEEK SPOTLIGHT🎓🏉

Forward: RYAN KELLOGG

Ryan has been apart of the reds hai entire college career while studying Finance and Accounting. Playing 8 man, ryan has been able to support the forwards in the scrums while also secretly wanting to be a backs player with his running. You could say ryan is Forrest Gump…. He just keeps runnin. Seniously… ryan is a stand up rugby player who truly loves the game and supports his teammates no matter what.
Ryan’s favorite memory: “Playing against Marquette was a fun and competitive game. I had a steal which turned into a try on the other end too which was very rewarding.”

Advice from Ryan: “Becoming a student of the game. That could be watching film in your free time, asking questions to experienced players, and working on basic skills outside of practice. Also, you gotta have fun when playing. Some of our best games as a team happened because everybody on the field was in a good mood, attitude is just as important as what you know.”

What is Ryan doing after college: “M&A Consulting, hoping to stay involved in rugby too whether that’s playing for a club or coaching younger guys.”

Thank you Ryan! Once a Red, always a Red! ❤️🤍
