College Football and MMA

🐘 Favorite Team:
Alabama

💬 Advice for Student-Athletes:

“Get up!! Sports emulates life. There are challenges you will have to fight through your whole life. Focus on the next play and be the best version of yourself you can be. No one can keep you down.”

🏥 MEET THE TEAM PHYSICIANS 🏥

Oxford Sports Medicine is proud to highlight Dr. Vance Moore, who has served as part of the Oxford Athletics medical team for 28 years.

Dr. Moore has practiced with Oxford Family Practice for 45 years and has been a trusted resource for generations of Oxford student-athletes and their families.

When asked what he enjoys most about caring for student-athletes, Dr. Moore shared:

“I enjoy seeing the athletes work hard and then succeed and excel as a reward for their efforts.”

One of his favorite memories from his time with Oxford Athletics is attending games alongside Chief Bill Partridge and being part of Oxford’s state championship runs in football, baseball, and basketball over the past seven years.

His advice for student-athletes:

“Make every effort to be in Bible class and worship on Sundays and use the lessons you learn to make good decisions because one bad decision can change your life forever.”

Thank you, Dr. Moore, for your 28 years of dedication and service to Oxford Athletics and the countless student-athletes he has impacted along the way.

Being an athletic trainer is more than most people realize.

Early mornings in the classroom, long nights on the sidelines—injuries, rehab, and emergency decisions—it’s all part of the job.

Proud to serve our student-athletes and part of a profession that puts safety first.
