The Tred Avon Yacht Club Junior Sailing Program has always been an active and vibrant aspect of TAYC. While maintaining emphasis on sportsmanship, safety, and the joys of sailing, the program teaches all levels of sailing and racing. Our junior program mission seeks to revive the skills and knowledge once taught in successful programs that focus on a quality youth sailing experience. The program i

NJ State at Brant Beach in windy conditions and 120 Optimist. TAYC with 8 RWB Optimist and an amazing Team. Great place to sailing and good performance for our Team. First day no racing for strong winds and second day with medium-high winds and 5 races. Lewes YC Junior Regatta + Rock Hall MD State Champ = Great performance for TAYC Team. Justin Calaham on the first places in Red Fleet and Overall Fleet in Optimist RWB. Go Team !

TAYC make waves at BCSC and GIYS Junior Regattas. Light Wind conditions at BCSC made a good performance for all the Team. Justin Callahan finished in third place very close of sailors from MRYC at the podium.

🔥Welcome Back Dingo to 2025 TAYC summer season 🔥Dingo is from Rosario, Argentina were he started sail in Optis since 6 years old, and continues in Laser, 29er, F18, J70, Waszp, Snipe, Sunfish, and keel boats. After Optimist, jumped to the Laser Class (Actually ILCA), and other skiff class achieving several titles in National and Internationals Regattas such as Youth National Champion, Laser Radial South American Champion and more. Member of ARG National Team competed in 5 Laser Radial and Sunfish World Championship. Sailing in multiple kind of boats give me self confidence and experience to have a full vision.

Coaching in different levels, from youth to Olympics. Coach member of Argentina Olympic Team attending at Tokio 2020 Olympics and also with different countries at 4 Pan-American Games, winning 2x Bronce Medal. Always following the Olympic dream, he was attending at Senior, Youth Worlds, European, WS World Cup and many International Regattas.

In the US coaching at various sailing program with ILCA, Optimist, C420, Skiff, Nacra 17, and Waszp, coaching at Fishing Bay Yacht Club, Olympia Yacht Club, North East River Yacht Club, Oakcliff Sailing, WeCan Foil and others.

Dingo is excited to be returning to TAYC for the 2025 season.

🟢Welcome Coach Logan to TAYC 2025 Summer🟢
Logan Kille has been sailing for the past six years and raced competitively as a member of The Gunston School’s sailing team throughout high school. Last summer, he served as Lead Sailing Instructor at the Centerville YMCA, helping young sailors gain confidence on the water. In addition to his sailing background, he is also an Eagle Scout and certified Lifeguard, bringing leadership, safety, and a passion for teaching to the team. He’s excited to be coaching this summer and sharing his love for sailing on the Tred Avon River!
