Many years ago, I did an apprenticeship in Greenkeeping at a golf course in the Scottish Highlands. I stayed in a small fishing village with a ton of character, but minimal food options, there was my local fish and chip shop, a great curry place and my local pub. Many of the memories I brought home with me were created in that pub over a cold pint and a homemade meal. Here at Wyncote I want to recreate some of those memories and some of those meals. On Saturdays and Sundays (to expand shortly) we are now offering breakfast including my all time favorite Scottish meal, the Scottish breakfast. Often, the only option on a breakfast menu in a true Pub, Wyncote will offer other delicious options like ricotta pancakes and shrimp and grits, for those not ready to tackle this hardy breakfast. The Scottish breakfast includes, two eggs, 3 different breakfast meats, potato cakes, sauteed mushrooms, sauteed tomatoes, baked beans, and a scone. -Mark McGreevy, General Manager
