We Need Your Help NOW to Remove Public Land Sales from Senate Budget Proposal
After successfully removing federal land sales from the House Budget Reconciliation Bill, a new effort has surfaced in the Senate proposal.

If passed, it would force the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service to sell off up to a combined 3.3 million acres in 11 western states in a manner that would reduce public input, direct 90% of the revenue to the general treasury instead of reinvestment in access and conservation, and set a precedent that could open up more land sales that circumvent existing law.

NWTF lauds the administration and Congress’ efforts to be fiscally responsible, but we do not support selling our nation’s treasured public lands in a budget bill. We welcome an opportunity to help Congress find other solutions outside of public land sales to accomplish this objective.

We need your help, TODAY, to remove this dangerous provision and return land sales to the authority of existing law that requires a rigorous, public process.

Please contact your U.S. Senators, NOW, and let them know that our Public Lands should NOT be part of budget considerations.

A Turkey hunter is a rare breed,most of us came up with the old school hunters that always told us its a secret society.You never gave up your spots,you never told how many birds you heard gobble Keyword “Secret Society” We wait a whole year patiently after the last trigger pull of the Spring, wondering whats next.. whether you are Chasing 49, or Chasing that first longbeard of your life.. Know matter whitch it is this bird will humble you, he will make you spit,cuss,and wonder what happened,he will make you respect him because he knows you are willing to play the game on his terms.We begin the game in March and for some it ends in May and for others they make to June, by the time the season ends a turkey hunter has many stories to tell whether its from a miss, or I was so close but just couldnt seel the deal… and for some of the chosen ones you get to sit next to a tree admire the beauty of this Great bird that God created for us to pursue and harvest, thank God for allowing you to see another sunrise and hearing that gobble in the distance.. you get to take in the surroundings of his area that he had walked for many mornings, and watched a many of sunrises from his ridgetop.. whether its the Hardwoods of Alabama,the Swamps of Florida, or the plains and grasslands of Colorado you have completed the ultimate task that many have failed at and many will never experience.. now the time has come for you to put him over your shoulder and enjoy that victory walk back to your truck, but take your time enjoy that walk back take it all in because you never know if it could be your last trigger pull of the spring…
