Please see this message from the Park Rangers about construction at the dam. You can access the disc golf course and trails from the alternate trail head pictured below.

Construction is starting for electrical upgrades to Hodges Village Dam. The main parking lot at 30 Howarth Rd. will be closed to visitors through December 16th. To access the trails and disc golf course, please park at the lower pond gate pictured here and follow the trail to the end of the dam and hole 1. Questions? Call the office at 508-248-5697.

Hodges Village Dam is a flood risk management project that reduces flooding along the French River and in downstream communities of Webster, Dudley, and Thompson, CT.

The disc golf course is still flooded. No updates on when the course will be playable.

Just got off the course taking some pictures. Course is flooded. Holes4,5,6 long, and 12 are unplayable. 9 holes are still playable. Navigation of the course is a little wonky with the bridge being unpassable but it can be done.

The log boom is being replaced at the dam.  Please use caution on the course and around the equipment.

The log boom is being replaced at the dam. Please use caution on the course and around the equipment.

Over the next few days our contractor will be installing a new log boom at the dam. A log boom helps to keep tree and vegetation debris from floating into the gate structures of the dam. Please use caution in this area around the equipment.

The Hodges Village Disc Golf course is now open for play! Please read the following COVID Course Courtesy rules and for the safety of the Park Rangers and other players, please adhere to the courtesy rules. Parking will be limited to pavement spots only, with no allowance for on the grass parking. If the parking lots are full, please return some other time. The Dam site restrooms will also re-open this weekend. They will be cleaned 3 times per week. If everyone does their part to keep the course clean and follows the COVID Course Courtesy rules we will be permitted to keep the course open.

Effective April 6, 2020, disc golf courses at Buffumville Lake and Hodges Village Dam will be closed until further notice. At this time all are asked to respect these closures in order to help slow the spread of the virus.

Just a heads up, some of the baskets on the course are flooded. The bridge is also currently impassible.

All tee pads except for 6A have been cleared of snow. If you're going to play bring your snow shoes, you'll need them in some spots.

28th Annual National Public Lands Day will occur on September 28, 2019 from 8-12. CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS! The volunteer activities will begin at 8am with registration at Buffumville Lake Park (229 Oxford Rd. Charlton MA) Participants will be given snack packs to take with them to their project. Projects include trail maintenance, disc golf sign install, invasive plant removal, fixing bridge, picnic area upgrades and painting projects!
