Information
I (Michael Duckworth) wrestled for Union County High School and was an Indiana State Champ and 2x runner-up. After high school I attended Division 1 college at Ohio University and wrestled on scholarship. As a high school wrestler I drove to Indianapolis twice a week to train and my goal is to create a club that would help wrestlers in the area by having a training facility with-in a reasonable driving distance.
The first month of wrestling will be free with the goal of building numbers for the club. We will hold practices Sundays at 5pm at the Talalwanda High School field house (see below for directions) for the first month. After March we will have 2 practices a week (Sunday and Tuesday or Thursday) and will be charging $50/month with $10 drop in fee.
Our practices will have some focus on Freestyle wrestling during the months of March-May but will still feature the basic drills needed while wrestling in the neutral position with any style of wrestling.
Practices will favor wrestlers that are ranging from 7th grade to 12th grade. If interested and you are under 7th grade please contact me because we can work something out. I am welcome to training all ages but would like to keep smaller kids in a separate session from the larger wrestlers and I want to make sure younger/smaller wrestlers have a partner closer to there weight and skill level.
