Pistol Permit class coming up this Saturday. Our combined Utah and CT permit class allows individuals to legally carry a firearm in 33 total states. Class starts at 7:30 am Saturday May 2nd.

Or you can just get your CT Pistol Permit and class begins at 9:00.

Class begins at 9 am on April 24th and is usually completed by 3 PM. Our location is at 160 Christian St. Oxford, CT 06478. Cost is $125/person and that covers all costs. We have no hidden costs.

On this day 20 years ago I heard an explosion right outside our gate at FOB Rustimiyah in south east Baghdad. Minutes later I was called via icom (radio) to be ready to roll.

To my recollection it was mid-day Christmas Day 2005. I remember showing up at the Humvee. Minutes later PSD team 1 was ready to roll.

By the time we left the FOB I knew that a man I knew well SPC Anthony Cardinal had been wounded by a IED placed right outside our FOB. CSM Kennedy briefed us all on what had happened and that it didn’t look good for Cardinal. He took the junior enlisted (me and several others) aside and asked us to put aside our feelings and accomplish the mission.

SPC Cardinal died that day Christmas 2005 without ever meeting his daughter who had been born in October. He gave his life for his brothers and for our great nation.

The burden his family must bear each Christmas is unfathomable to me. A daughter he never met is now 20. I think of her, his family and wife all the time especially on Christmas Day. Hoping they have found piece and tranquility. I spend each Christmas with my own children and often feel guilty I can do that. When his family can not.

Merry Christmas all. Think of the Cardinal family and wish them well.
