šŸ’— HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MISS DINA! šŸ’—

Today we celebrate the incredible woman behind so many beautiful dance memories, dreams, and journeys.

Your passion, dedication, encouragement, and love for your dancers have touched countless lives. So many dancers have grown up under your guidance, and your influence continues to live on through every class, every performance, and every generation that walks through the studio doors.

Thank you for creating a dance family filled with love, tradition, memories, and magic.

Wishing you the happiest birthday, Miss Dina! May your day be filled with all the love and happiness you have given to so many others throughout the years.

Happy Birthday to a truly special lady!

With so much love,
Your OCD Family

Carlie has been dancing since she was just 3 years old, and Oxford Center for Dance became such a meaningful part of her childhood and the dancer she would ultimately become. So much of her love for dance, her growth, and her journey can be traced back to OCD and especially to Miss Dina, who has been a very special and lasting influence in her life. Today, Carlie is the co-founder of Labyrinth Dance Company, and it makes our hearts so happy that OCD continues to be part of LDC’s journey by performing in their showcases each year.
Last year, when Labyrinth Dance Company celebrated its 10th anniversary, having Miss Dina sitting in the audience made the celebration even more meaningful. What a beautiful full-circle moment — watching a little girl she once taught grow into an accomplished dancer, teacher, and company founder. Dance has a beautiful way of connecting generations, creating lifelong friendships, and bringing us back to the people who helped shape us along the way. And who knows… perhaps someday we’ll see one of Carlie’s own little ones dancing through the halls of OCD, continuing a story that began when she was just three. Wouldn’t that be the sweetest full circle of all?

Jamie’s OCD journey began at just 3 years old, and she danced her way through graduation in 2003. She also took gymnastics, creating even more special memories along the way. Today, one of the most meaningful parts of Jamie’s OCD story is watching her own daughters experience the magic of dance. With Rae turning 18, Addi at 13, and little Monroe at 9, Jamie has treasured every moment of being part of their dance journeys. Some of her favorite memories are dancing in The Nutcracker alongside her girls and watching them grow, learn, and fall in love with dance. From a little girl taking her first steps in the studio to now being a proud dance mom, Jamie’s journey has truly come full circle

Monica’s love for dance began at just 3 years old, and what started as tiny steps on the dance floor grew into a lifelong passion. She graduated high school in 2009 and began teaching dance that same year—sharing her love, knowledge, and joy with generations of dancers. In 2014, Monica married, and through all of life’s beautiful changes, one thing has remained constant: dance! She is still teaching today, continuing to inspire young dancers just as she was inspired so many years ago. And now, the sweetest part of her story… Monica’s little dragon, Rosalie, started her own dance journey. From a tiny dancer to a beloved teacher and now a dance mom, Monica’s story is a beautiful reminder that the love of dance can become a family legacy.
