🏆 CHARLTON POST 391 ARE YOUR 2026 MASSACHUSETTS AMERICAN LEGION FASTPITCH SOFTBALL CHAMPIONS! 🥎

What an incredible way to close out the 2026 season!

Over two nights at Ruel Fields in Oxford, eight teams battled through seven playoff games filled with walk-off wins, upsets, dominant pitching, big innings, and unforgettable moments.

Championship Wednesday opened with two semifinal matchups. Charlton Post 391 defeated top-seeded Sturbridge Post 109, 3-1, while Webster-Dudley Post 184 advanced with a 17-5 win over Cherry Valley Post 443.

That set the stage for the title game.

🏆 Charlton Post 391 capped off an incredible tournament run with a 9-0 victory over Webster-Dudley Post 184 to capture the 2026 Massachusetts American Legion Fastpitch Softball Championship. Caraline Lambert was outstanding again in the circle, and Charlton broke the game open with a six-run sixth inning.

Congratulations to Charlton Post 391 on an outstanding championship run and to Webster-Dudley Post 184 on an incredible season and runner-up finish.

🏆 Congratulations to our 2026 Kelly A. McCue Memorial Softball Scholarship Recipient! 🥎

The Massachusetts American Legion Softball Committee is proud to announce Amari Pereira as the recipient of the 2026 Kelly A. McCue Memorial Softball Scholarship.

Amari has demonstrated outstanding leadership, dedication, sportsmanship, and character throughout her softball career. Whether on the field, in the dugout, or in her community, she represents everything this scholarship stands for. We are honored to recognize her with this well-deserved achievement.

Congratulations, Amari! We know this is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to see all the incredible things you’ll accomplish in college and beyond. Thank you for being such an outstanding representative of Massachusetts American Legion Softball.

PLAYOFF SOFTBALL DELIVERED! 🏆

What. A. Night.

The opening round of the 2026 Massachusetts American Legion Fastpitch Softball Playoffs had everything—walk-off wins, dominant pitching performances, offensive explosions, and games that kept going until after 11 PM! Holy moly, these teams came ready to battle.

🏅 Quarterfinal Results

✅ #1 Sturbridge Post 109 def. #8 Northborough Post 234, 13-11
The top seed survived an incredible battle, scoring five runs in the bottom of the seventh to complete a thrilling walk-off victory. Kaelyn Pellicane led the way with five RBIs, including the game-winning two-run triple.

✅ #4 Charlton Post 391 def. #5 Franklin Post 75, 13-3
Charlton turned a close game into a runaway behind Caraline Lambert, who struck out 11 batters and drove in four runs, including an inside-the-park home run.

✅ #2 Webster-Dudley Post 184 def. #7 Vernon Hill Post 435, 7-1
Sienna Stawiecki was simply dominant, tossing 11 strikeouts, including an immaculate inning, while also collecting three hits at the plate to lead Webster-Dudley into the semifinals.

✅ #6 Cherry Valley Post 443 def. #3 Framingham Post 117, 15-14
An absolute offensive thriller! Cherry Valley pounded out 20 hits and erased another late deficit with a seven-run seventh inning. Eliana Miller finished 4-for-5, while Norah Wojnarowicz also had four hits as Cherry Valley pulled off the upset.

After a wild night that stretched past 11 PM, only four teams remain.

All 8 Massachusetts American Legion Fastpitch Softball teams take the field tonight as the road to the championship begins.

Come spend the evening with us at Ruel Fields and watch some incredible softball as these teams battle to keep their seasons alive.

🥎 PLAYOFF UPDATE 🥎

We’re keeping a close eye on the forecast for Wednesday’s Massachusetts American Legion Softball Playoffs. 🌧️

As of now, the playoffs are still ON as scheduled, but with the current forecast, we’re also working on a backup plan just in case Mother Nature has other ideas.

Our goal is to make a decision as early as possible so players, coaches, families, and umpires have plenty of notice. If a schedule change becomes necessary, we’ll post updates on our Facebook & instagram pages and notify all coaches immediately.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. Here’s hoping the rain stays away!
