Compared to other ballroom dances, Latin dances are generally faster-paced, more sensual, and have more rhythmic expression. They are traditionally for couples to dance in a partnership. Quick-paced rhythms, fabulous dresses, and dramatic movements make the various Latin dances irresistible.

Why do ballet dancers always bend at the knee after small and large jumps? A flexible slightly bent knee will help to absorb the shock of the jump and reduce risks for injuries in addition to wear on the dancer’s body.

Romeo and Juliet is a ballet by Sergei Prokofiev based on William Shakespeare's play. Music from the ballet was extracted by Prokofiev as three suites for orchestra and as a piano work that are still widely performed today.
