Stevenson started it's club sports program in 2012. In the fall of 2013 the Men's Club Lacrosse program was founded. The team competes in the NCLL (ncllax.com) which currently is comprised of two divisions with 142 current teams. Teams are divided into conferences within their division and the top four teams from each conference compete in a conference championship. Conference champions then compe

te in a national championship where a Division 1 and Division 2 champion is crowned. Stevenson currently competes in the Chesapeake Conference in Division II with Johns Hopkins, George Mason, UMBC, Catholic University, Howard University, Morgan State, St. Mary's University and Washington College. The team is coached by Mike Urgo who played for Old Mill High School and in the NCLL at Mount St. After a brief stint coaching the Mount St. Mary's Club program, Mike joined Stevenson in 2013 for it's inaugural season. Congrats to Senior on breaking the program scoring record! Against UMBC tonight he scored his 18th and 19th goals of the season. With his 19th goal he breaks the record previously held by (18) and Coach (16) before that.

With 2 subs on the bench we drop our 3rd of the day to 1-7. After 5 games in 20 hours the Stangs finish 1 and 4 on the weekend. All losses this weekend came to the top 4 teams in the conference.

Next up in our 2018 season player profiles is Freshman Tim "Bird" Maly. Bird graduated from
Glen Burnie HS (MD).

Bird plays a little of everything. He's your everyday utility player. Everything from LSM to Attack, he goes where the team needs him too.

Bird is a Nursing Major. His favorite quote is "The fact that perfection is unobtainable, is never a reason to not strive for it.”

We're going to start off the last month of our 2018 season with our player's profiles.

First up is Freshman Grant Sebad. Grant graduated from Winters Mill High (MD). His favorite saying is "Gucci gang" ... whatever that means.

Although a good ball handler, Grant's favorite place to shoot is very low angle preferably through at least two defenders.

Grant is a Elementary Education Major (who knew). We can't wait to see the player Grant becomes in the next 3 years.
