Hey Y’all Ericka here, I wanted to take a minute to apologize for having to cancel classes and reschedule clients so much lately this is very unlike me.
For the past month and a half I have been dealing with an upper respiratory illness that wouldn’t go away which has now turned into a double ear infection, I’m trying to give my body opportunities to rest and not push through so much. Missing work has caused me a lot of stress and anxiety on top of some other personal stressful things I’m going through which has led me to feel really depleted. At this time I want to be intentional with myself and the time and rest I need or I won’t get better. I tell all of you daily to take care of yourself and listen to your body but it’s no good if I’m not also doing this for myself - I will just keep reaching burn out again and again. I did get the proper medication from my doctor yesterday to treat my ears and I hope I’m on the mend.

There’s many reasons I opened my own studio, today’s one of those days I’m super grateful to teach in a room with dim lights, candles burning and My Immortal by Evanescence playing softly in the background. Little Ericka would think this was so cool and every day I try to heal her and make her feel seen and loved in ways she didn’t have before. 🖤
